Back at his room, late at night, John communed with his new god, and he learned his story. He was trapped inside a relic inside the basement of our neighbor's house, guarded by a descendant of the same order that had trapped him. Old man Jenkins had been killed in a robbery before he could pass this relic on, so after the Cally and Brandi moved in, he possessed the person who was then Calvin, thinking he could be his vessel, but he found John much more suitable.
For now, Ceres was weak, only people in John (and before him, Calvin’s) presence would be turned, while if the met anyone else they would only come to accept the horse people’s existence as a true. John needed for strengthening his god by turning more people so that the gift could be passed on like a virus to everyone who even glances at one of us, and there is more. This level of debauchery displeases Ceres, and some changes are due.
The first things to changes was the rooms, that were melded together in one large room, where everyone slept close to each other, in a huge structure that was a hybrid between a bed and a carpet, the bathrooms were also turned into a bigger version of itself, with glass walls for a full view of the place.
Next, while not being able to transform the people of the neighborhood, Ceres was able to influence their subcontinent to make all more lustful and to make them desire their horse neighbors more.
Seeing his handwork play out in front of his eyes, John went to sleep with his family, a small part of a much larger herd to be.
