Now the thing is the potions in these vials cost money, and just like the rest of us the wizards and sorceress's who compose
the Board and the shareholders who own the Vial Making
Company find that stuff as hard to lay their hands on as the
rest of us.
So the Company needed paying repeat customers, not
permanently transformed ones who would lose any interest in
a second order.
In the case of Mary the thunderbirds and harpies who deliverthe Companys product had accidentally dropped off a
box of vials meant for the witch who used to live in Mary's
apartment a half century earlier.
So what Mary had gotten was a box of potions that provided the
customer with a "temporarily permanent transformation"
One that lasted six hours, just like the duration of a
reasonably priced cold medication.
So for the next six hours Mary was most definitely Mark the
Male Hydra but eventually she woke up to find she had
transformed back into Mary, and she lay naked on the floor of
her apartment, with rather strong fresh memories of having
wings, scales and a rather well muscled and huge male hydra
body.
After the fuzz cleared from her mind Mary got up,dressed herself and went to check on the box of vials that she remembered leaving in her living room.
The box, vials and potions were gone, presumably picked up
by a thunderbird or harpy courier and delivered to that
afore mentioned witch, but there was a
Vial Making Company cataloque of their various product offerings,a attached price list and a Company cover letter
introducing themselves to their latest potential customer,Mary
as well as a Gift Card from a associated Toxing and Cleanup
Service so customers could get their cars back from a forest
as well as a Gift Card from a clothing store chain that offered
replacement clothes for customers who had a habit of bursting out of and destroying their clothes whilst turning into big
muscular wing male hydras.
So Mary spent the next while in the sofa in the living room
sipping her coffee whilst going through the papers the
thunderbird/harpy courier had left there.
These transformation potions didn't come cheap, averaging at
about $ 300 for a 6 hour dose such as Mary had ingested when
Mary had drunk the Male Hydra potion.
Mary thought that one over,if it cost $ 300 to be 'Mark' for a
period she was going to have to be careful on the finances.
She whistled as she realized that the box of vials she had briefly
possessed hous earlier likely sold at retail for
$6,000 to $10,000 .
From now on,unless her fortunes arose drastically, she was
going to have to do this in "single doses ' of $ 300.
So she returned to the cataloque and the Price List and figured
out her next move....
