Comparing my two choices, I'd rather walk through hell than have my balls detach from my crotch due to hypothermia. I breathed a gulp of air and pushed through the obsidian door. There was only heat and darkness inside the room. The warmth curdles my skin and drenched me to the brim of my clothes. I looked around and used what little light that's peering through the door. And in the darkness, I saw him. Jayden is sleeping soundly while wrapped in a tinfoil blanket. He wasn't bothered by the heat, rather he's reveling in it. I rushed closer to where he is and jumped with no hesitation.
In an instant, all heat disappeared around me and transformed into a subtle breeze. I opened my eyes and found myself where I expected to be, in a bed with tinfoil around me like a blanket. I wore a blue pajama that smelled as if it was recently picked out from the dryer. I stretched my prepubescent body and admired how light I was. I stretched my fingers and cracked my knuckles. Just as I was doing so, I noticed sparks coming out between my fingers. It smelled like sulfur and brimstone. I focused on my hands and thought fire. I thought of the hottest things appearing from the palm of my hand.
A ball of blaze levitated above my hand. It followed where I reached and disappeared when I closed my hands. Having fire powers is the most common power a supe' can have. But unlike others, most people can only make a spark at most. A fire at your fingertips can happen given a conscious effort. In Jayden's case, he's surely a gifted kid seeing that he could make a ball of fire without breaking a sweat. And being inside his body and using power is just icing on the cake. But no matter- the reason why I possessed Jayden in the first place is to teach the asshole who just peered through the door crack a lesson.
I left the obsidian bedroom and confronted my mirror image in the hallway. The asshole was smirking. Jayden's face is angelic and that is a given. Although, it baffles me how Blake could contort devilishly.
Now that I'm posing as his brother, I could either get revenge or just ask him to sleep and get this thing over with.
