Aaron was a un-dragon.or if you wanted to be nosey about the
gender of the spirit that caused his nightly transformations
he was a un-dragoness.
Had been so for the past nine months, ever since the Dragon Comets had blazed across Earths sky and infected anyone who
had gazed up at them at the time.
As Aaron stumbled about in the day light in the ruined city
that had become frozen in time nine months earlier
he glanced again at the protective insulating and shielding
gloves, footwear and thick clothes that were the only thing that prevented him from transforming into a dragoness during
the daylight hours.
As he could see around him, some of the infected had already
given in to their inner dragon demons and for the next cycle
were dragons and dragoness's who engaged in the beastial
drives of their extraterrestial inner dragon demons.
No one had quite figured out how, after a cycle as a dragon or dragoness
they woke up again in that 'morning after state
fully clothed again but with the aches and pains of
the previous incarnations transformation and spree of
sex and greed and gluttony orgies still fresh in
their minds,souls,muscles and bones.
What Aaron knew was that after nine months of this hellish
dragon nightmare, his inner demon was craving for something
different then the usual round of dragon activity
and had remembered that Aaron had once been a human cop
who still had a human sister named Emily.
Unlike Aaron and the Infected un-'s
Emily and the majority of the human race had stayed indoors
that
night nine months earlier, putting brick walls and steel and ground
between them and the dragonish energy parasites that had
lain in wait on the Dragon Comets when the 33 comets had come within range of Earth after being absent for
1,500 years.
1,500 years earlier the un-'s had first come, causing the first
wave of transformations, what might be called
temporary dragonisfications of their human hosts.
Back then their had been Knights to slay infected hosts
or maidens to sacrifice
but in these times both knights and willing virgin sacrifices
had proven in shorter supply, even if the number of
infected human hosts such as Aaron were much greater.
So it was that Aaron stumbled along, dreading the certainty
that when the Sun dipped below the horizon
the dragonish demoness within him would have her way with his
very nature
even if only for a cycle.
