The serum worked quickly as it surged through Dr Jenkins’ bloodstream. The first noticeable effect of the vile formula was that the doctor started to rapidly shrink. He fell forwards as he gripped his stomach in pain, still desperately calling out for help.
But the man’s pleas did nothing to slow the process. He shifted quickly from a tall and imposing man into a small child-sized version of himself, causing him to practically fall out of his clothes.
But the doctor was destined to become much smaller. Before long he had shrunk beyond the size of a baby, and then a mouse, as his body dwindled to almost nothing. In fact it was only when Jenkins’ body neared only a few centimetres long that the next stage of his transformation got underway.
Dr Jenkins grimaced as the changes began internally. The man’s skeleton and internal orders started to painfully shift around under the surface of his skin. He started to feel sick as many of his organs started to shift further back on his changing body.
Things then got even weirder as the doctor felt as if his butt was expanding. In fact this was a sign that the doctor’s new abdomen was starting to form. Jenkins couldn’t describe the sensations as his organs seemed to be sucked inside this new segment of his body as it ballooned out to a relatively enormous size.
Meanwhile other changes had gripped Jenkins’ chest. His whole mid-section had gradually adopted a much more rounded shape as his spine had lost its structure. Other strange changes concerned the doctor’s legs. He now sported not two, but six, long hairy legs on his developing thorax. The sensation of having an extra set of limbs was very disorientating, and there were still many more changes yet to take hold.
As the changes gripped his body, Dr Jenkins struggled desperately to make sense of the situation. He correctly deduced that he was becoming some kind of insect. His head was a cocktail of confused thoughts. He was terrified that he may never be human again, whilst also livid that a variant of his own transformation serum must have been stolen and used against him. His only hope was that this was only a temporary punishment; although having witnessed the Zoo’s ruthless efficiency he doubted that this was the case.
As Jenkins contemplated on his situation the painful transformation continued steadily. By this stage everything below the doctor’s head was looking distinctly insectoid. The man’s abdomen was now fully grown and tipped with a sharp stinger. He also sported two pairs of wings while thousands of tiny hairs had sprouted over his legs and thorax. The man’s skin had also changed into a tough exoskeleton which had adopted a yellow colouration. Most alarmingly, the doctor had been so overwhelmed with sensations that he hadn’t even noticed that his cock and balls had shrivelled up and been absorbed into his body.
With the changes almost done, pain now seared through the doctor’s skull as it was reshaped to suit his new body. First, any useless human features like the man’s ears, nose and hair were quickly removed by the changes. Next, Jenkins’ head shifted into a more ovular shape as it turned yellow to match the rest of his warped body.
The final few alterations were some of the weirdest yet. First, two long antennae sprouted from the man’s forehead causing his mind to be flooded by a torrent of new scents and chemical signals as they instinctively scanned the surrounding area. As well as this, Jenkins developed a set of sharp mandibles as his jaws reshaped, after which a disgusting proboscis stuck out in place of his human tongue.
The final change concerned the doctor’s eyes. His two human eyes shifted to the sides of his head before they grew to cover most of the sides of his insectoid head. These were joined by a trio of much smaller and simpler eyes that settled on the top of his head.
With this final change concluded, Dr Jenkins was now a simple honey bee. However, what the doctor hadn’t yet realised was that he wasn’t any old bee; he, or more accurately ‘she,’ was now a queen bee!
Although the transformation was over, Jenkins’ human consciousness was still far too tired and disorientated to even contemplate what had just happened. As a result of this, the new queen bee started to follow her instincts.
These instincts caused Jenkins to use her wings for the first time. Soon she was soaring through the air like a natural as she scanned the Greenhouse for any signs that other bees were nearby.
Before long Jenkins knew where she was going. It turned out that she was heading straight towards…
