As you put your finger on the trigger, you start having second thoughts, and drop the gun onto the ground, You stomp on it and it breaks in two, you pick up the injured fox and carry it back to the others, who help get them into the den, you decide to wait a few minutes to say goodbye before finishing the trial, you start to get a little drowsy, and almost fall asleep, but before you do, symbols surround you once again, the text is just random letters, but then you hear a voice speaking to you “you have completed the first defining trial, and for that I shall reward you... with this...” the voice goes silent and you feel like a thousand needles are poking out of you, but it isn’t painful, it’s only... weird... you look down at yourself and see nothing, but when you brush your hand across yourself you feel fur, “so... my reward is feeling fur on my body even though it’s not there?” You ask, the voice speaks again “yes... but if you continue the defining trials, you shall be bestowed with yet more rewards, but do not head directly to them, as the regular trials also help decide the type you will become”
you feel around your body, everything just feels like fur, until you get to your face, instead of what you expect to feel, you feel a muzzle, but you’re still able to move your hand through it, however when you do... it feels too weird to keep it there, you get so lost in feeling around that you don’t notice that the foxes have come back out, with the fourth one fully healed, you sit down and give them a pet, and they give you licks to say goodbye, as you walk to the alter the foxes follow you, and just as you’re about to pick up the metal, the foxes tug on your leg, then signal over to another cave just to the north of the altar, you look on the back of the bar, and discover that the writing is gone, and that the bar has turned into regular gold. you leave it be and you walk towards the caves while your companions follow you.
