Throughout the school day, bit by bit, the bullies, Neil, Alan, and Will, started turning into monsters.
Chris never told anyone about the bullies' transformations, his friends, or his parents, or his teachers.
But he hadn't reckoned on Mr Todd, his maths teacher.
Mr Todd was a tall thin man with black hair, brown skin, glasses, and wore a polo shirt, a brown waistcoat, a blue tie, and wore light brown pants and black shoes.
He was actually the second person to notice the bullies' transformations - like for instance, he saw that Neil's clothes seemed to be disintegrating, and when he was on playground duty, he noticed Will kept jumping, like his legs seemed to be stuck together, and he noticed Alan's feet were aching [and notably smelt a little bit worse than they usually did].
He couldn't put his fingers or his toes on it, but something seemed to be very wrong.
He had to figure this out for himself.
After he caught the bullies bullying a little girl on the playground, he decided to keep close surveillance on the bullies, and try to work out what was happening to them, and find out what it was that was changing them, and if he could replicate it, or report it to the police.
At lunch, he kept a close eye out for the bullies, in case they tried anything.
When Neil, and Alan & Will came in, he could see something was odd with them;
Neil was starting to grow toes on his belly, like those on your feet, but much bigger.
Alan's clothes seemed to be slightly disintegrating, and his skin was a pale yellowish-green.
and Will seemed to have his legs fused together, finding it hard to move, and, he had a cyclops eye.
Mr Todd had to pinch himself to see if he was dreaming.
He was just wondering about how he could find out how the bullies were transforming, when his thoughts were rudely interrupted.
One of the dinner ladies had seen the freaky-looking bullies, and she had screamed, and fainted.
Mr Todd took this opportunity to slip out unnoticed, especially since he was asked to call the nurse to see about the strange feelings the bullies had, and their strange formings.
Almost an hour or so after lunch, he found out from Hector the janitor that the bullies had been taken to hospital, and would be off for until the 'strange diseases', [which it was, according to the fainted dinner lady] they'd got, had somehow or other, passed.
Mr Todd explained that even he had been baffled by the transformations of the bullies.
Once back at his house, he started to work out the weird causes on the bullies.
The most notable cause was of Neil gaining toes on his belly.
He took off his shoes and socks, and examined the toes on his feet.
"Toes are meant to be on feet, not on your belly." he mused.
He mused, and took notes of the strange diseases of the bullies, stopping every now and then to make himself a drink of tea, and have his dinner. It almost seemed like he was at a loss. How did people just transform in weird ways?
Could it be a disease?
