Charlotte was close to giving up. There was nothing here that would look out of place in a regulat basement. Perhaps the bedroom would have been a better option after all?
Then she spotted something. At the far end of the room was an open book, a thick dusty looking old tome that appeared to Charlie to be significant in someway. She hopped over towards it and jumped onto the open pages. She had no chance of turning them over at her current size and without any thumbs let alone apposable ones, but there were plenty of incantations listed here. Perhaps one of them could help? It was hard to tell as there was no explanation or hint for what they might do, if indeed they did anything at all. She was no sorceress but they were easy enough to pronounce. Charlie began to read the spell at the top of the page out aloud, more out of hope than expectation.
If she had any understanding of magic she may not have risked it. While it was perfectly possible for her to cast spells by reading the words on the page she had no clue how to target them. Thar meant they would automatically be cast on the nearest human to her...
