It has been four days and Aylwin is still mad at us. Fucking women left and right with your popular status is a nice feeling to have but they need to move on. Carim’s been itching every day to end their journey. He isn’t showing it but I know he’s annoyed by how long our journey took.
The road separating Rublyn and Cordova is pretty long and perilous. We had to traverse deep ravines and the sides of a small volcano. One of the horses died which greatly slowed our travels. As for Aylwin, he didn’t waste the horse’s carcass by eating it with his original body. At least it improved his mood by a bit and he began to talk to us again.
During our travel on the road, Carim furthered my training with the sword, as well as the dagger. He taught me the ‘Omnislash’ skill, where it enables me to slice quickly in different directions. I was crude but that was to be expected. Without more training and an unenchanted sword, the most I could make is three slashes in a second.
Aside from sword training, I trained in my own skills. With close eyes and a focused will, I could see the souls of creatures around me. Sapient Monsters and Humans emanate the most powerful souls. There are also small signatures coming from the masks Aylwin weaved. Animals and Plants have souls too but it’s faint and barely noticeable. There are also souls beyond my line of vision. Wary souls with a sick blood lust emanating from their skin. Carim said those are monsters seeking to harm them but couldn’t. It’d take a fool to attack a camp of travelers killed the Sanaedhel who used to rule this road.
Anyway, the travel is long and I don’t know how long it will be.
