Jenny was led to a large open field outside the Farm’s main barn. She stood there numbly for a few minutes as the true implications of her horrific transformation started to set in. How could any of this be possible? She’d been blamed for something that wasn’t her fault and now she was stuck as a dumb donkey!
Meanwhile, as Jenny struggled to come to terms with her new changes, her body helped to ease her into accepting her new existence. “Hello there, I’m looking for a Doctor Jenkins, would you happen to know where he is? I’ve already tried at the Stables but they told me that he was last seen here. Please can you help me?!”
Jenny looked over to see a pretty woman talking to one of the Farm’s attendants. She was instantly struck with panic when she saw that it was her wife, Abby. Even worse was the fact that their two twin children, Liam and Melissa, were also tagging along. Surely them all being here was no coincidence. She had to warn them!
Everybody looked over at the strangely-behaving donkey as she wildly brayed and stomped her hooves angrily. The attendant smiled as he whispered something into his radio, before turning back to the confused visitors. “Don’t worry about her madam; I think Jenny is just a bit lonely at the moment. Now, regarding your husband, Mr Carter believes he has a few leads, however; owing to the sensitivity of our operations, only one of you may enter his office I’m afraid.”
“That’s ok,” Abby answered, “I think my children can amuse themselves while I see Mr Carter.” She glared at Liam and Melissa as they let out exaggerated sighs “Thank you for your help mister” she said before entering the barn.
“Oh the pleasure’s all mine” the attendant said a bit too creepily, forgetting the two brats that were nearby. He looked over to see them staring at their phones like a pair of zombies. He smiled as he walked away, already looking forward to greeting the Farm’s new arrivals…
