Todd wandered the reptile house and watched a wild celebration unfold. The intelligent scalies set themselves to work in moments. Some began cleaning the admittedly foul messes while others broke into the supply room and began distributing food and mice to the hungry. The tiny frogs danced and hopped around while Todd spied Gretta and Fred in the corner in a heated discussion of some kind. The crocodiles noticed his gaze and smiled warmly, nodding.
Todd followed the giant boa constrictor as he snaked his way up the office stairs and they discovered an entire upstairs with computers and an executive office with a built in shower. They also found the thermostat and adjusted the temperature of the building to more reptile friendly conditions.
"You're all right." The snake said simply, and slunk back into the roof.
Todd travelled back downstairs and began to look for the cobras. He found the three snakes busy directing a general clean up, with the highly intelligent female running the show. He watched her for a time, and to his embarassment, Todd found himself strangely intriqued by the snake. He had put all of them on the same level, simply adjusting the remote to generally increase their intelligence to human levels. The female cobra winding up so smart must have meant she was of a higher intelligence to begin with.
She caught him staring at her and looked away suddenly, almost blushing as she turned to point at something with her tail.
Todd wanted to enact part two of his experiments. He had so many participants to play with now it was almost overwhelming. He knew he could raise animal intelligence and mind. Could he also raise their bodies? Or should he go out into the rest of the zoo?
