Snickering like a thirteen-year old girl, Mark targeted his sister Heidi again... then went to the window and fired the device at Old Man Nicholson, the elderly next door neighbor already out in his yard shaking an angry fist and shouting at local kids to stay off his lawn.
There was a bright flash of light that only Mark seemed to be aware of.
The next thing he saw, Old Man Nicholson abruptly stopped shouting at the neighborhood kids. Mark thought he heard the man mumble something wanting to go play video games. Old Man Nicholson trudged back into his own house and slammed shut the door.
Mark couldn't wait to see the results on Heidi, and ran off to find her. Rounding the hallway, he nearly collided into her.
“Slow down, you damn whippersnapper!” Heidi growled. She looked the exact same as before – physically a thirteen-year old girl. But now she had the personality of an elderly man! She shuffled down the hallway slowly, as though her young body now suffered from some phantom arthritis. Mark thought he heard Heidi mumble something disapproving about her own fashionable, teenage clothing as she disappeared off into her bedroom.
