Rob Van Direstag woke up that morning noticing that Rachel was headed out the door already. Yawning, he stumbled his way out of his bedroom towards the kitchen. While in the kitchen, he poured himself a bowl of cereal and milk and then sat at the table to munch on it before getting ready for the rest of the day. He still didn't believe all this were-nonsense that his family seems to be engaged in. His parents claimed that someone came from city hall and turned into a giant anthropomorphic cat before their eyes. And Rachel claimed that her best friend from Michigan was a werecow now. Rob just shook his head as he had a hard time believing any of this.
"Hey, Mom," Rob called out as he sat at the table, "You know where Rach went? She came out in a bit of a hurry."
"Your guess is as good as mine," Rose answered back, "She said something about meeting with a friend."
"Huh..." he said as he ate another spoonful of cereal. "This town's weird," he mumbled.
"Maybe," Rose said, "But it's home now. Best to make the best out of it."
Rob shrugged his shoulders as he finished his breakfast and prepared for the rest of the day. As he went to his bedroom, he stopped by Rachel's room and noticed the Moon Lake guide on her table. He went in and took it before going to his room. He once again looked through the pictures in the book, his eyes stopping to look at the women in the book. Aside from being covered in fur from head to toe, the pictures left very little to the imagination. As he used his finger to trace the outline of one of the female weretigers, he felt the urge to rub one out. "No," he said to himself, "I gotta go to school." He closed the book and finished getting dressed for the day.
After saying goodbye to the rest of the family, he made his way out of the house and on the road to school. He was supposed to walk with Rachel, but she had already departed for school, leaving him to walk by himself. His mind continued to wander. There's no way those things are real. I mean, if they were real, wouldn't we know about them already? Not to mention that those women in that book...there was something hot about them.
"Hey..." a female voice called out from behind him. He turned around to see a familiar blonde girl with a rather mischevious grin catching up to him.
"Um..." he said, "Amy was it?"
"He DOES remember," she replied with a grin. She walked quickly to catch up to him and said, "And I take it you think I don't exist still?"
"Well, you do exist," he said as he matched his pace with hers, "I mean you're walking next to me."
"No, silly, I mean, about you know what?" she said with a bit of a teasing smile.
"Well," he said thoughtfully, "I mean, there's no way that werewolves or werewhatever can be real, right? Those are just stories, right?"
Amy sighed and said, "You still don't know. I guess the only way you'll learn is by seeing for yourself."
Rob stopped and watched Amy as she continued to walk up ahead of him. "What are you?" he asked her.
Amy stopped and turned to face him with a big grin, "I could be just a normal...or I could be one of those 'things' that you speak of." She knelt over, giving him a view of her chest revealing that she wasn't wearing anything underneath her shirt. "Maybe one day, I'll tell you." She giggled as she turned around and ran away towards the school.
Rob could only just watch as she ran away towards the school. He continued to trudge his way up the street as thoughts crossed his mind. Why did she keep teasing him like this? And why did he have the hardest boner everytime they talked?
