Jason wondered off the beaten track. He’d been staying at a cabin owned by a friend of his. He’d needed the time off, busy with work and life...things he guessed. His friend, Tony, had told him what a live changer the experience out here was. Jason wondered for a moment on what the cabin looked like, as he hadn’t even seen a photo.
It’ll be funny if it wasn’t real, he thought.
Walking past a creek, Jason reflected on Tony. Tony was an odd guy who just emanated this weird presence. Probably why he had such luck with, well everyone. Jason never understood it, nor see it, but he guessed some people just attracted a crowd. He’d been like that ever since they met in middle school. This smart, yet incredibly athletic type. He had the entire look down pat. Muscles and the hight, with skill in almost any sport, but also a wit you can only get from reading.
Jason himself wasn’t remarkably tall, or strong, but he guessed he had his perks, somewhere... He sighed.
As he walked, Jason noticed it was getting dark. The sky had begun to turn a mix of pink and orange. Shifting down another path, one that supposedly lead to this fabled cabin, he continued on. Soon, he moved toward a clearing, the location of the cabin, but Jason was shocked by what he saw.
