"Might I interject?" A rough voice came from the ceiling above.
Startled, the human, cobra, and crocodile looked up into the bare rafters to see a giant yellow boa constrictor coiled around the ceiling supports.
"My, my, my." He hiss-laughed. "You three were quite the treat to watch, yessss? Didn't even sssseee me up here."
The cobra lady put her hands over her mouth in mortified embarassment and Gretta gulped sheepishly. Todd, too, experienced a bit of shame.
The giant boa waved his tail dismissively and chuckled. "Friendssss, what do you expect when you mix the urgessss of a man with the passsssionssss of a reptile? Besssssidessss..." He laughed again. "I'm not into girlssss."
"Oh." The cobra said blankly, looking around nervously.
Todd stared up up the giant snake and blushed deep red. The boa winked gently and began to uncoil from the roof, slithering down the wall.
"Now, about your misssssterssss." He hissed. "I think you could usssse my help."
"I suppose any help will do." Todd gulped, watching the way the big snake was eyeing him carefully.
"I proposssse that if you make your magic potion with these fine ladies, darling creator, then I could ssssset up a way to disperse it quickly and efficiently to our other ssssscaled friendsssss."
"Go on." The cobra nodded.
"Consssssider..." the boa pointed his tail tip upward, "the fire alarm. Sssssprinklerssss. We could probably tie into the sssssystem and sssssoak the otherssss very quickly. And wouldn't that be fun to watch them all change and grow aroussssssed. The idea excitessss me assss well." Again, the snake winked at Todd.
"Not a bad idea..." Gretta chimed in. "But, uh, how do we... do the water thing?"
"Oh, very simply." Todd smirked. "Uh, here!" He threw open the cabinet beside the desk and produced a wine glass. The other three watched as he nakedly turned to the sink of the office bathroom and filled it. He came back, grabbed the remote, and aimed it at the water. He had to add some extra parameters and safeties, but the others watched as he changed the water into a thick pink liquid.
"Ohhh!" The cobra cooed. "What did you do?"
"Uh... basically, this is what happened to you in a glass."
Before they could do anything, the giant boa deftly coiled the tip of his tail around the base of the wine glass and raised it to his mouth, sniffing it gently.
"Hmmmm." The boa smirked deviously. "Bottomsssss up? I know mine will be."
"W-Wait!" Todd held out of his hands. "It's super potent like this, buddy. You need to..."
"Dillute it?" The boa smirked wider. "In water?"
"Uh... yes." Todd nodded.
"What happensssss to me if I were to take it assss issss?" He asked, circling the pink liquid in the glass.
"Extreme results." Todd gulped. "You... you might change all the way into a human. Lose your reptilian features all together. Or... or you might grow continuously. Or you might burn up. It's... unpredictable."
"I ssseeee." The boa considered.
