“Ah…sorry.” Apologized the Doctor as she flipped a page on her clipboard and looked at the next page on her report. “You are becoming a fairy.”
Chris blinked as he looked at the werewolf doctor before him. His mind trying to process what she had just said. Images of tiny women with insect like wings filled his head.
“A fairy?” inquired Chris as the werewolf doctor lead him to a sitting area.
“Yes, a fairy.” Confirmed the doctor as she reached into a bag, located on her belt and pulled out a small computer tablet. She tapped in a few keys and the information about Fairies came up. Chris bent over the screen and began to read.
Fairies came in multiple different sizes, some even standing around 5 to 5 and half feet but most where around 14 to 12 inches tall. They had multiple different wings types, not just the classic pair insect wings but four dragon fly wings, butterfly wings. One photo he saw was of a women with six wings, three on each side of her body and beside her was a women with beetle like wings another had moth wings.
He was concerned when he saw that a lot of the photos where women but there where a few male fairies as well. The range of body types took his breath away, some looked almost perfectly human, yes pointed ears and thinner bodies but human beside the wings. While others had insect like antenna coming from their forehead, others looked like half human half plant with wings.
“Fairies have a high rate of energy meaning that while they tend to eat a large amount of food given their body size they are normally very fit looking.” Read Chris as he looked down at himself, people had said he had a dad’s body since high school. He was overweight but not to the point of obesity so maybe that was good. He would finally lose that weight.
“Age wise, fairies tend to age slower then humans. While they age the same, their bodies do not show it until near the end of life, so a fairy in their 40 and 50s will look around late 20s or so. Around 60 a rapid aging happens as the fairy nears death.” Read Chris
“Fairies are highly sexual and tend to female with male fairies only making out 20 to 25% of the total population.” Read Chris as his heart stopped and he looked at the doctor.
“Ah…am I becoming a female fairy?” inquired Chris
“We…we don’t know.” Admitted the Doctor “We prioritize finding out what species you are becoming not the details.”
Chris let out a sigh and moved on.
“Because of this, fairy families tend to be either same sex with a male fairy providing the genetic material and moving on or a single male fairy with multiple wives and children.” Read Chris as he tried to hide a grin. He liked the idea of that, a male fairy with multiple hot fairies he could sleep with at any time. Then he remembered he had a 3 out of 4 chance of becoming a female fairy not a male.
Chris just sat there reading and for her part the doctor just let him do it. Finally, she did speak up and together he was led to what looked to be almost like a single person hospital room. Four whitewashed walls, a bed, a wall mounted TV and a bathroom.
“Alright, lets get you started.” Said the doctor as a nurse, this one to his amazement was an actual zombie walked in. She pushed in a dolly with a tray with three needles full of liquid.
“Now…this is will help with any infection.” Explained the doctor as Chris offered his arm as he took the injection.
“This is a pain reliever in case of any pain caused by the transformation.” Added the doctor as the second one was injected.
“Lastly this is the 1st of two injections, you will get the second one tomorrow around this time.” Explained the doctor “It will speed up your change and hopefully within three days you will making your new life within our community.”
Chris watched fighting back a tear as this last injection happened.
“Your first changes should happen overnight.” Explained the doctor “Now…we recommend you undress and lie in bed and try to get some sleep.”
Chris did that, he undressed putting on a hospital gown and lied in bed, to his amazement he felt his eyes closing. He was just starting to wonder if maybe they’re was a sleeping drug mixed in with that drug cocktail when sleep claimed him.
The next morning his eyes opened and for a moment he wondered where he was and then he felt the pain, it didn’t hurt bad but more like the pain he felt after a hard game when he played football in high school. It just hurt all over, then he remembered where he was, he looked down and saw….
