"Hey, you must be the college guy she got to "look after me"." Ricky was not exactly the easiest guy to get along with, though Bobby usually managed. Standing about five foot four inches tall, Ricky was growing into a lanky phase in puberty, he had light brown hair that was continually disheveled, light green eyes, and wearing rather baggy clothes. Almost typically the angsty teenager, to the extent Bobby almost rolled his eyes now that he got a look at Ricky from this perspective. He could almost feel the eye roll from Ricky in terms of that "look after me" bit.
Bobby walked over and asked, "How're you doing today, Ricky?" He tried to make a positive introduction, considering he more resembled his older brother and was probably going to continue to be mistaken for him.
"Fuck off, Eric. I'd prefer to be hanging out with Bobby, "brah"." And thus he was able to see that Ricky was very into a PS4 game he was playing, and Bobby was left rather offput by the hostility. He'd thought there hadn't been much interaction between his older brother Eric and Ricky, but it looked like Ricky believed "Eric" going by that mockery was some kind of dudebro scourge. Probably some less than ideal interaction Ricky never saw fit to mention.
"Listen man, I'm content to leave ya be, do your thing and I'll prepare dinner and shit, but...I'd uh, like to apologize for---"
"For being a bullying twatwaffle?" Ricky seemed to give him a deadpan stare, and then turned back to his game. Bobby crossed his arms and left the living room to go to the kitchen. Damn this definitely showed him how peoples' behavior changed with who they interacted with. Bobby and Ricky were the closest of friends, but going by this, Ricky absolutely despised Eric for bullying that Bobby hadn't even known about.
Now that he thought about it, Ricky HAD been babysat two years ago, and it'd been Eric who was the sitter. He guessed that Ricky had not had a great experience. Bobby decided even after this rather lousy experience he was going to try and see about aging Ricky. The baggy clothes were pretty fortuitous.
Bobby decided to brainstorm over some food, namely sandwiches, about how he wanted to go about this. Either immediate or over time, and how far did he want to go anyway. As he ate some ham and nine grain wheat sandwiches, he overheard Ricky ranting at his game. Looked like Dark Souls, as usual, was kicking his ass. Usually Bobby would step in to help him deal with it, but he doubted Ricky would want any help from "Eric".
Especially with something Ricky thought of himself as "good at".
His interest was piqued when he heard a random tangent along with the standard "You Died" track playing; "I just wish I could be grown the fuck up so I don't gotta deal with shit like this, and Eric and...FUCK!!" And then he tossed the controller on the floor and stalked up to his room after shutting off his game. Bobby had his idea.
Ricky wanted to be well and truly grown up so he didn't have to deal with bullying, but it was all a question of how his body would take to aging. He might just stay a target. Then again, Ricky and he, when they weren't gaming, enjoyed running around and doing basketball, so maybe that'd influence things. Plus, for all that he sulked and stayed around his room, Ricky was a surprisingly fit dude already...
Bobby slowly walked upstairs, just outside of Ricky's room, hearing the young man blaring some metal music in there. And so Bobby said, gripping the ring, "I wish that Ricky would..."
