Mike starts to panic. He really doesn't want a few shrunken girls causing trouble and telling any authorities about him and his misdeeds. He knows that the more time he spends looking around aimlessly, the more chance they have to get away. Eventually he concludes that he’s not making any progress searching their bookbags under the carrels, and it's time to start looking down the hallways of books.
That's where he finds them, scurrying down the stacks in a frantic hope of escaping before he notices them. It's a foolish choice, as they have nowhere near big enough to run down the entire hall in a reasonable amount of time. As he catches up to them, in merely a few steps, he thinks to himself that they would have been much smarter to climb up on the shelf and hide behind the books.
He puts his foot down in front of them, and both girls slam into it. They fall over, and look up to see him grinning above them.
Now he wants to punish them for trying to escape, something creative. But what should he do?
