John wanted to see the pills section, but he also wanted to keep Carrie happy, so he decided to flip a coin. He reached into his back pocket, where a shiny gold coin had materialised. John was not surprised at this, although Carrie certainly was.
"Remember - toon rules apply here. I'll demonstrate." John reached to his back pocket again, and the pulled out an anvil bigger than his head. "Haven't you ever seen a cartoon where a character pulls an anvil or a piano out of their pockets? I could do the piano, but there's not enough room here."
Carrie nodded. John dropped the anvil, which proceeded to fall through the floor, leaving an anvil-shaped hole. John then flipped the coin, and reached up to catch it midair. In the manner of cartoons, he missed the coin, which fell to the floor landing on its edge, and then after a moment started to roll, heading toward the aisle marked 'Miscellaneous'.
They shrugged and followed the coin, and found it stopped right in the middle of the aisle. Carrie moved to pick it up, but John stopped her.
"Look up." John pointed, and Carrie looked. Right above the coin, hanging by a thin rope, was a safe. They watched as a guy walked down the aisle from the other end, spotted the coin, and reached down to pick it up. Surely enough, the safe fell down right onto the guy. John headed over to the safe and touched it. It swung open, revealing the guy dazed, small birds flying around his head. John grabbed the coin from the guys hand and swung the safe closed again.
Carrie hit his arm. "Why did you do that? That was just plain mean."
"Toon rules, Carrie. I did what I had to do. Had I left him, something would have happened to me."
John looked along the left side of the aisle, and spotted paint, clothing, and various other objects. There did not seem to be a pattern what was there. It was just a variety of different objects.
John spotted something he wanted to try.
