Todd looked at Jack's face imprinted on the jockstrap. Jack's face was screwed up in disgust. Todd knew why. It wasn't because Max had a bad body. Max actually was athletic but Max had a reputation of being a jerk. Max wasn't mean. He was just annoying sometimes as he tried to be funny but didn't know when to stop. He'd interrupt serious moments by telling a joke even when people needed quiet. He butted in on social situations where he didn't belong even getting in between boyfriends and girlfriends and Jack was going to be present for every annoying thing Max did.
Even worse for the jock, Max tended to treat his jockstraps rough. In the locker room, some of Max's antics included throwing his jockstrap at people or drawing rude things on his jockstrap. Todd laughed at the thought of what Jack would have to endure.
But then Todd thought of the needy kid, Jeremy. Jeremy might have been the poorest boy in school. Todd didn't know Jeremy's financial situation but Jeremy always wore thrift store clothing. He couldn't afford to get involved in any extra curricular activities and he seemed to suffer from malnutrition. He got enough food but it was probably mostly cheap bread with little in the way of meats or vegetables.
Todd, like many, wanted to help Jeremy but there was only so much they could do. Todd used his wand to learn more about Jeremy. The reason Jeremy didn't raise his hand earlier was that Jeremy did have a jockstrap but his jockstrap was too big and worn out and would probably fall apart soon, a hand-me-down. He needed something better.
The problem was there weren't any other kids in that class that Todd hated. There were kids that Todd didn't know, so Todd said, "We're going to play a game. I'm going to ask questions and the one who gets the most answers wrong becomes Jeremy's jockstrap. Todd waved his wand and a selection of boys stood up, all the boys that Todd didn't know.
Todd's first question was, "What's my favorite color?" Most of the boys guessed blue and only one boy guessed green. Todd told the boy who said, "green" "You may sit down. You're safe." Todd kept going until only one boy was standing. His name was Brian.
Jeremy protested, "No, that's my best friend."
Todd thought about but said, "I'm sorry. He lost but I will give him a choice. Brian, I could either make Jeremy write his ownership of you and you'd be a jockstrap permanently or as his friend you can offer to be his jockstrap as he needs one and then you'd only be his jockstrap when he needs it. What do you say?"
Brian shook with fear and his eyes were wide but he knelt by Jeremy and said, "I offer myself to be your jockstrap." Then Brian began hollowing out and shrinking.
Todd said, "I'll grant you another favor. Whenever you wear Jeremy, you'll become a fit jock and a smart guy and you will have everything you need to participate in any extracurricular activities you choose. If you want to play the guitar, wear Brian and you'll have a guitar. If you need a computer, wear Brian and you'll have a computer. Then Brian can feel really good about how much he's helping you and might feel like it's worth it to be your jockstrap."
