Alex was a 17 year old high school senior. Alex had chocolate brown hair with a short casual cut, and was leader of the drama club. Alex was scrounging for random costumes and props if he he came across. He then descovered a new shop on the block. It hadn't had a name, so he thought it hadn't opened yet. Regardless, he saw some interesting stuff inside, so he tried pushing on the door. To his surprise, it was unlocked. Alex saw a humble of items. It wasn't as much as a shop as it was a storage unit. The clerk at the counter appeared as if like magic. "Welcome. I hope you enjoy my mysterious artifacts. Please feel free to browse around." The clerk talked with a thick Scottish accent. "Yeah... Uh... Thanks." Alex continued deeper into the "store".
His eyes caught on to something he could potentially use in a skit for the club. "Oh, cool." He said picking up the items. They resemble a pair of oversized gloves with four fingers rather than five, as if they were from a cartoon. Alex fit his hands into the gloves to test it. He was amazed to see his fingers moved naturally while his hand was inside. It was as if he had four fingers the whole time. "These will do fine." Alex said returning to the counter. The clerk appeared out of nowhere again. "Ah, your eyes caught a dozie. Perfect for someone like you mate." The clerk pulled up the price on his register. "10 dollars! Are you kidding me?" Alex seemed outraged. He could buy something cheaper from the internet. "These were quality made from the finest fabric. Most comfortable fit garenteed. Plus there is a 7 day return policy if you really don't want to commit. You can't loose mate." Alex had to admit, it did feel comfortable when he tried it on. Plus one week? He figured he'd only use it for a day. "So lad, we have a deal?" "I guess. We'll see how it turns out." Alex said handing the clerk the money. "Ay, brilliant. Trust me laddy. You may change your mind about that return policy. In fact, that might not be the only thing changing. Good day sir." He said dissappearing under his desk. Alex looked over to see he had actually vanished. "Okay, this is getting a bit weird for me." Alex quickly left the store.
Back at home, Alex decided he would try the skit with his new gloves. His parents were out of town, so he wouldn't have to worry about interupting anything. Alex put his new gloves on. Even though they seemed way to big, they actually fit like a glove ( no pun intended). Before Alex would practice for his skit, he wanted to check what time it was to see if anyone would come over to practice with him. Picking it up, he realized his fingers were too big for the buttons... And his phone was getting bigger? "What the?" Was all that Jake said before his phone grew a extra few inches. It also started developing an outline, as well as sparkles began to emit around it. He could finally press the buttons, but the screen background had been outlined, and the font changed to a bolded, crooked comic sans. It's like his phone effectively transformed into a... "Cartoon..." Alex finished his thought. Had it been possible? Alex though back to what the clerk said 'that might not be the only thing changing'. His mind was blown. Had he really just purchased a pair of magic gloves?
Alex thought it was time for a test.
