Karen and Sebastian now found themselves mingling amongst the guests happily. While the two had been friends for some time, the fact they now found themselves on opposite ends had made things rather awkward.
"So," Karen said quietly. "You, um, learn anything cool since you began learning magic?"
Sebastian smirked, shrugging as Karen pushed her glasses up. "Sort of," he said. "I mean Jack, Lilith, even Circe have been showing me all sorts of stuff. How about you?"
"Same," Karen answered quickly. "Mary a d the others have been showing me alot if really impressive stuff. By the way, you should really talk with her, she misses you."
"Cmon Karen," Sebastian shrugged. "You know the two of us were more like brother and sister. Shes more interested in Jason anyway."
"Doesnt mean you shouldn't talk," Karen said quietly. Sebastian could only sigh as an uncomfortable silence now descended on them.
"Hey Karen, Sebastian."
The two teens turned to see the other timelines Gloria now race towards them. "Hi," she said cheerfully. "Listen, me and my sister were heading outside to cast a snow spell. You want to come?"
Sebastian and Gloria nodded, causing the teen to smile. "Awesome," Gloria said happily. "Hey listen, why dont you grab Kellie too. She said she was feeling a bit tired but I'm sure she would love to see this."
Karen and Sebastian agreed, quickly making they're way towards Kellies room. As they did they could see some of the others gathering on the back deck of the hotel. Karen couldn't help but grin as the doppelgangers mixed with one another. Even Bob, Ayami, and Vixi seemed to be enjoying themselves. Karen could see the anthro demon chatting with the other Katie and Claudia from the other timeline as Morgan and Kari tugged at his legs.
"Is it really safe to have a demon around babies," Karen asked. Sebastian glanced outside, stifling a laugh as the demon picked the two infants up only for them to begin pawing at his face. "Bob wont hurt innocents," Sebastian laughed. "He can only torture souls that have been corrupted, meaning kids are pretty much of limits."
"And us," Karen asked.
"Hate to say Karen but if you've ever lied or done something you're not supposed to do, Bob can tear you to pieces." Karen could feel the blood drain from her face as Sebastian laughed. "Dont worry," Sebastian chuckled. "Bob is actually pretty chill for a demon. Ayami on the other hand is probably going to lose her mind having to play nice." Karen now looked where Sebastian was pointing, bursting into laughter as the infant Lynne pulled on her hair, while baby Tricia spit up on her.
As the two now knocked on Kellies door, they could hear the pregnant teen groan as she made her way towards the door. As Kellie wearily opened the door, she gave the two a weak smile. "Hey you two what's up?"
"Hey Kellie," Karen said. "A bunch of us where heading outside for the snow spell, wanted to know if you wanted to join us?"
Kellie sighed, nodding as she beckoned the two teens in. "Sounds good," she said. "Let me just get my co...AHHHHH!"
"Kellie," Karen exclaimed, racing to her friends side as she doubled over in pain. "What's wrong," Sebastian asked as he gazed at the pregnant teen.
Kellie grunted in pain, grabbing her very pregnant stomach. Something wasnt right. As she was about to answer, she screamed out in pain once more, falling to the ground.
Before Karen a d Sebastian could react they could see a glow of brilliantly white light now shone from Kellies eyes. The two teens now covered their eyes as the light grew brighter, enveloping the whole room. As the light began to fade, the two teens heard a distinct sound. The sound of a baby crying.
Karen and Sebastian rubbed their eyes as they now looked down at Kellie. The formerly pregnant teen appeared barely conscious. Two things became crystal clear to them immediately. One Kellie was no longer pregnant, her stomach having returned to its previous flatness. Secondly and more shockingly, the two teens could see a small infant swaddled and resting in Kellies arms.
"Is...is that the BABY," Sebastian whispered.
"Yes it is."
Karen and Sebastian jumped at the unfamiliar voice. Turning quickly they gasped as they now saw an orange kitsune standing before them. "Who are you," Karen whispered.
Fukushu grinned as he now gazed at the infant. His new master had sent him to retrieve the infant. It was all part of the plan to bring Villar to this world. "Fukushu," he grinned, his fangs glinting in the light of the room. "And the child, is now MINE!"
Sebastian struck first, understanding the seriousness of the situation. The teenage warlock leveled a powerful blast, meant to cripple the kitsune by breaking his legs. Fukushu deftly dodging the attack as the dresser behind him splintered. Fukushu smiled wickedly, unleashing a blast that sent Sebastian flying backwards.
"Sebastian," Karen yelled as Sebastians body crumpled to the floor. She could see him breathing, but he appeared to be unconscious.
"Girl this is your one chance," Fukushu growled. "Leave. The child is mine."
"No," Karen yelled. Surprising even herself, a burst of light now escaped Karen, surprising the kitsune and knocking him backwards. Momentarily stunned, the kitsune glared at the teenage girl as she prepared another spell.
"I wont let you hurt him," she yelled as she unleashed another blast of magical energy. Fukushu was ready, dodging out of the way before leaping at Karen. In one powerful blow, he now punched Karen sending Kelliea last defender sprawling. As Karen's limp body crashed into the nearby closet, Fukushu dusted himself off as he gazed down at Kellie a d her newborn son.
Kellie was too drained to move, the birth of her child had drained her of all her energy. She had watched in horror as both Sebastian and Karen tried to help, only to be defeated. "No," she whimpered as Fukushu bent down, gently picking up the sleeping newborn. "Give me my son."
"In due time," Fukushu stated as he gazed at the newborn. He had his orders, protect the child and lead the others to his location. "Your son is very special Kellie. He shall usher in my master and bring forth your destruction," Kellie grunted, trying to stand as Fukushu now conjured a portal. "I shall await you in the mountains."
As Kellie now reached for Fukushu and her son, the kitsune vanished into a portal. Tears now began to freely fall from Kellies eyes as her son vanished. She was going to need help in rescuing her son.
