"Alright... It's possible to remove the parts if necessary. In order to remove, you must-" Dylan was cut off when he heard footsteps approaching. "Dylan, remember the charity banquet is this Sunday." It was his mother. "Oh crap." Was all Dylan could think about before the door knob started turning. On the other side of the opening door was Dylan's mother. "So I bought you these. They even had a cute little tail hole for you..." Dylan looked back at his mother eyes wide open. "Uh... Okay I accidentally ripped them fighting the car door. Happy accident though right?" She said smiling nervously. She took a look at Dylan's tail. "Oh wow, your tail looks nice today. You decided to groom it yourself this time?" Dylan couldn't get a grip on what his mother was on about. Did she think he had a tail this whole time? Dylan decided to try and act like this was normal, even though it wasn't. "Uh... yeah. It's not really that hard." Jake smiled nervously back at his mother hoping his attempt worked. "Well it must've been that new brush. The bristles on that are pretty high quality. Anyway, just wanted to drop these by." His mom revealed a pair of black pants with a hole in between the back pockets. "Alright I gotta get back to work. Behave while your father and I are gone." She said closing the door.
Dylan had never been confused more in his life. He brought up the guide to see if there was something to explain what just happened. "The objects in this box are magic, and apply a reality shift whenever used. Anybody who sees you with new additions will recognize it has always been normal. This is so people in mortal states will not get suspicious of our products. However other magic beings can tell the difference." Dylan read. So his fox tail is normal for everybody because of the reality shift. "That's convenient. A bit too much, but I'm not complaining." Dylan thought, his tail swishing behind him. "So how do they come off though?"
Dylan continued to read where he left off.
