When the clock struck 8, Jake jumped up off of the bed. He had made it. He resisted temptation, and had refrained from having sex with Gina. And now he could switch back.
"Okay, it's time. We can switch back now. Where is the medallion? " said Jake.
Gina sighed and sat up on the bed. She was disappointed that she hadn't gotten a chance to really enjoy Jake's body, but she thought that perhaps he might change his mind later. After all, tomorrow was Saturday. They would have all day to play around with amulet.
"I left it over there, on top of the dresser. Away from any clothes to avoid any more accidents, " said Gina.
"Good thinking, " said Jake, as he picked it up and held it in his hands. "C'mon, let's get this over with."
As Gina reached for the amulet, both her and Jake felt the familiar shock.
“Glad it will be over soon” said Jake after recovering a bit, picking up the amulet, but then they heard a loud knock on the door.
"Shit, my parents must be home, " said Gina, as she jumped up and ran into the closet to hide.
“Won’t they see me change?” said Jake worryingly.
“I don’t think it will be a problem” replied Gina. “Last time it took 30 minutes, so you probably have a few minutes before the changes become noticeable. Besides, if my parents would find a boy in my room, they will kill me. Just open the door, see what they want, and send them on their way before you change too much.”
Gina ducked back into her closet, leaving the door open just a crack so she could see out. Jake sighed, and opened the door. He was still used to being short, so he expected to look up and see Gina's parents. He was surprised when he opened the door and saw no one. Then he looked down and saw a short girl with dark black hair staring up at him. He had no idea who this person was, and the young girl could tell.
Gina stepped out of the closet, and cleared up the confusion. "Oh, it's just my stupid little sister. What the hell do you want, shrimp?" said Gina, glaring at Brin.
Brin was used to the abuse. She and Gina did not get along. Gina liked to pick on her, and make fun of her short stature. It had led to some pretty intense but one-sided brawls. But over the years, Brin had learned that even the biggest opponents have a weakness.
Brin slammed the heel of her foot as hard as she could on Jake's big toe, placing all her tiny weight on it. Jake howled in pain, and dropped the amulet. Brin scooped it up and ran away as quickly as she could. Jake tried to catch her by the shoulder, but to no avail, as she was already out of the reach of his long arms, cradling the medallion in her small hands as she ran to her room.
"That little bitch!" said Gina, as she ran up to the door. "She took the medallion. He have to catch the runt."
She ran past Jake and into the hallway. She looked around the hallway, but could find no sign of the little rat. "C'mon, we have to hurry."
“Gina, I think we shouldn’t go out until we completely change back” replied Jake. “The changes will become too apparent soon if your parents would see us. Besides, didn’t we get all we needed from the medallion by now? Why hurry?”
“Putting it like that, maybe we should wait...” responded Gina. “But the moment we change back, we have to catch that little bastard. She’ll probably try and use the medallion to one up me somehow”
With how you always insult her with synonyms of ‘short’, I’ll guess that she’ll not going to stay that small for much longer...” said Jake worryingly.
