Spring in Animalia was a little bit more of a big deal because it brought with it the first warm rain of spring. The amphibian Animalians, as usual, performed one of their "rain dances", which wasn't too sexual but did acknowledge amphibians dependence on water.

Animalia Ambassadoria got a surprise announcement over the intercom during free hour. Apparently there was something new discovered over at Macduff's Castle.
"With the popularity of Macduff's Castle as both a tourist destination and one of the Animalia Colonies in Europe," said the PR-MD agent, "It was decided to include a medieval monastery. But while they were digging the foundations, they found the remains of a real medieval monastery from the early middle ages. We'd like for you to look over both the monastery and the archaeological site they found. Fortunately, Spring Break is the week after next, so you have plenty of time to get things together. Just remember to have your passes filled out in case you come back to school late."

The one that was generating the most attention in Animalia in general was the arrival of the rich and "super-rich" members of society in Animalia. While they were annoying to Animalia in general for making all kinds of incorrect assumptions about Animalians, it was satisfying to see those assumptions proved wrong in all kinds of hilarious ways.
Probably the funniest ones were failed attempts to join the Meat Market. While some of them did have potential, others often suffered epic fails. As many would discover, the only one who had a say in the final decision was Animalia's "top dog" in the industry, Miss Fabina, and she was developing a reputation of being 'selective' in who gets to dance at the Meat Market.
Probably what was considered a headache were all the "special orders" that the new members were requesting. While the custom "gene molds", like Polymelia was on the low end of requests, there were those who wanted to do their conversions/double-dosing with special "scenarios". For example, one rich girl wanted to live out a kind of "Dr. Jeckyl and Mr. Hyde" fantasy and get her second dose via "elixir". Fortunately, Miss Vivian knew about these kinds of things and had a Ripaway costume easily made for her, as well as a prop "chemistry set" for her second dose. After she had gotten her conversion and was now a mouse Animalian with grey fur and blonde hair, she recorded her "transformation"/double dosing as part of her fantasy. While she had only meant for it to be a private video (i.e. not uploading it on social media), it somehow ended up in Miss Fabina's hands/paws, and much to her surprise that was enough to get her into the Meat Market as "Miss Hyde". This was also an inspiration for "mad science eroticas" at the Meat Market where the female scientist creates a super-weapon/monster, the monster inevitably breaks free and has his way with the scientist, and scientist generally calms him down.
"I saw this once on tv." said a visiting college student as they were working on the first "tank" for Miss Hyde's first show. "They make the glass out of sugar, so no sharp edges result from breaking."
"Don't try it, sonny." said one of the people working on the tank to her friend, who clearly wanted to try to lick the glass. "You might make the glass unstable, and it's required to have large amounts of liquid in there."

Probably what was the biggest thing, but minor compared to other things, was the coming of Spring Fever to certain Animalians. While it wasn't as big as Coronavirus news, it was still important, mainly because there were those who were making preparations by stocking up on contraceptives. Jessica was also doubling down on preparations because her birthday was this month (she didn't like all the "march hare" jokes she was attracting) and she wanted to have her 18th birthday be special.
