"Jenny-sweetie, have a good time at prom. And Mark, I know you're a gentleman, so please treat my daughter with the utmost respect she deserves." Shannon instructed, her head turned to the couple sitting in the back of the car.
"Yes I will Ms. O'Brian." Mark responded.
The two teens walked out of her mother's car. Jenny awkwardly stepped forward in heels. She had never wore heels before, except when she had practiced all day yesterday. She turned around to look at Mark. He smiled lovingly at her. She smiled lovingly back, but to tell the truth, her smile was all fake. She didn't like Mark, but when Mark had asked her out for prom and she had no date, what was she supposed to do but accept? It wasn't like there were any other lesbians at school. Neither did she want to reveal her orientation and risk getting ostracized from her friends. Maybe they wouldn't even let her in the same locker room in cheerleading practice? Until graduation, it had to remain a secret.
Later in the gymnasium, the lights were dimmed, and various couples danced to slow sensuous music. Mark and Jenny swayed back and forth on the dance floor. Then, Mark leaned forward for a light peck. She reluctantly kissed him back. Then, he went for another one, but Jenny leaned her head back to avoid it.
"Babe, what are you doing?" Mark asked.
"I don't feel like kissing right now. I mean what if other people look at us?"
"It's prom. We're supposed to kiss and such. It's all part of the fun babe." he assured.
Mark tried to kiss her, this time with more force. Jenny tried to muffle out a denial, but she couldn't. He started feeling her up. She could feel one hand hand squeezing her butt. With their bodies squeezed up together, she could even feel something hard at his crotch pressing at her. She couldn't take it. She collected all her strength behind her hand and slapped him across his face,
A large smack sounded through the cafeteria. Everyone stared at them. The DJ even paused the music. All attention was at them. This was exactly the opposite Jenny had wanted. She had to get away. She started running as fast as she could in her heels. Noe one dared to follow her. Mark just stood there flabbergasted, letting his date escape.
Jenny sat at the bleachers and sulked. The school building was filled with happy prom-goers, but outside the school she found some privacy. Why did it have to come to his? Why did she even agree to be his date?
"Why are you sitting here all alone?" she heard a voice ask.
Jenny lifted her head towards the sound. A girl was standing next to her. She recognized her. They didn't share any classes, but she could remember seeing her around the school. They hadn't really spoken together before, since Jenny mostly spoke the people she knew from cheerleading, but this girl wasn't a member of any sports club. She on the other hand mostly hang around the nerdy crowd if Jenny remembered correctly. Jenny hadn't seen her dress up much, but now she wore an extravagant sky-blue dress, a contrast to the casual clothes she'd seen her in.
"Nothing. It's none of your business." Jenny murmured.
"I can't let you sit alone and cry all alone." she said. "My name is Josie by the way."
"I'm Jennifer, but everyone calls me Jenny." she muttered.
Josie sat down next to Jenny. Both of them stared into the air in front of them, the cool evening breeze on their face, neither saying a word to one another. She wouldn't admit it, but Jenny appreciated Josie sitting there. Somehow, it made her sorrow less heavy, silently sharing it with someone else. She glanced at Josie. She couldn't help but notice her deep creamy cleavage.
"Jenny. Just asking, but are you gay? Josie tilted her head at Jenny and gave her a curious stare.
"Why do you ask that?"
"I don't know. You just have this air about you." Josie explained.
"Okay. You caught me. I admit it. I am a lesbian. Just please don't tell anyone, okay?"
"I'll keep your secret." she assured. "I am the same after all."
What? What did Josie just say? She was also into girls? Jenny looked at her. She did look lovely, dressed up and all. What if they were to? Jenny shivered at the thought.
"Jenny, do you want to kiss?" Josie asked.
She nervously nodded in response.
Josie leaned at Jenny, and their lips met. Her lips were so warm. Jenny felt herself melt. Even in the chilly air, she longer felt cold. Slowly Josie released the kiss, but they were still close. Jenny could still feel her breath. She could still smell her, a rosy perfume.
"More." Jenny breathed out. It was all she managed to word.
Josie kissed her again. The outside world and Mark whisked away. All that mattered was Josie. Their lips meeting, their tongues exchanging saliva, new feelings she had never felt before.
