Dan looked at his sister, blushing. She snickered.
"What? Oh, lemme guess, you're feeling weirdly turned on? It's common in this kind of change, don't panic. I mean, I'm still totally laughing *at* you about it, but don't panic."
Dan gulped.
"I...yeah. I'm enjoying this...I...Ok. I have a question for you."
"Shoot. Be quick, I want to get back to the party."
"Ok, so...I'm supposed to learn the ins and outs of being a lobster as part of this, right?"
"Basically."
Dan looked sideways at his sister.
"...I need you to promise you're not going to think I'm weird for what I'm about to ask."
"I already think you're weird, but whatever you ask is probably not weirder than your normal questions."
"And promise not to...hold it against me later."
Kat narrowed her eyes slightly.
"...what are you asking?"
Dan gulped, and adjusted himself on his legs. He was suddenly glad that in the process of getting his tail he'd lost his dick.
"...Could I, hypothetically, be...you know...eaten in a restaurant? Safely, I mean."
Kat's eyes bugged out, and she sputtered.
"Whoa, you're actually...ASKING to be eaten? Cripes, Dan, you're a little freak aren't you."
Dan blushed, mortified, and looked away.
"F-forget I said anything, then..."
Kat sighed, rubbing her eyes.
"Ok...yes. Yes, you could. But like HELL am I doing that without you telling Mom and Dad that you want it. You're just...trying to really get to know lobsters, right?"
"Right..."
"So, yeah, we could probably convince them. But we're not doing anything until you do. Got it?"
Dan felt relieved, elated even. He was really going to do it...experience his full 'birthright as a lobster.'
Kat grinned wickedly suddenly.
"Hey...lift your legs for a minute, lemme see something."
Dan looked dubious, but did so. Kat made a thoughtful noise.
"No gills yet...you can probably encourage it, you know. Think of how much you want your lobster gills, that will let you breathe underwater like a proper lobster..."
"Wh-why?"
She grinned wider.
"You wanna go to my party? In a tank, I mean. No one's having lobster, but you can be on display, just like a real lobster. You like that idea, don't you...?"
Dan gulped, and considered.
