Jeff ate his cereal. He happily ate away, believing he would soon change back to normal. He thought about how he then had to somehow convince Jennifer to change back to his teenage girlfriend. However, little did he know that the Chronivac was processing the questions he had obliviously answered. It was about to go through each of his answers and fulfill them.
"Oh, hey twerp" Shannon groaned as she entered the kitchen. She acted the typical annoyed older sister. Jeff just ignored her. Soon he would change back to normal he thought, and she would no longer be his older sister.
"QUESTION 1: What is your desired age? SUBJECT ANSWER: 14"
Jeff shifted slightly in his chair as he aged one year. He wouldn't admit it, but he wasn't as comfortable with becoming an adult as he believed. He would rather stay a teenager for longer if he could.
"QUESTION 2: What is your desired family? SUBJECT ANSWER: Williams"
Jeff had chosen his old family. Once again Jeff changed. His red hair turned back to its brown color. He grew slightly taller. All his facial characteristics shifted slightly. No longer did he look like Jennifer's son or Shannon's brother.
"I can't believe Mom forced me to babysit you" Shannon scoffed. "I mean you're fourteen. A fourteen year old is supposed to be able to stay home alone."
"I think I am able to stay home alone just fine. It's just my parents who are too paranoid." Jeff defended himself.
"Whatever shrimp." she replied.
"QUESTION 3: What is your desired meal? SUBJECT ANSWER: Pancakes"
No longer did Jeff of Shannon eat cereal. They each had a fresh syrupy tower of pancakes on their plates.
He put a piece of pancake into his mouth. It was absolutely delicious. His favorite thing about being over at Shannon's house was how her mom would always cook pancakes in the morning. He always looked forward to eating breakfast at their house.
"QUESTION 4: What is your desired appearance? SUBJECT ANSWER: Handsome/Beautiful"
Jeff's face rearranged. His shoulders broadened slightly. He grew slightly taller. A ton of subtle changes happened, shifting him from a awkward-looking boy in the middle of puberty, to a well-proportioned good-looking boy. He looked like he'd fit perfectly in as an actor or a boy-band-member.
"Jeff, sorry. I didn't mean to insult you." Shannon apologized. "I enjoy hanging out with you whenever your parents are out. I just think we should stop calling it babysitting, since I am not like watching over you, you know."
"Don't worry Shannon. I understand. Besides I enjoy hanging out with you. Maybe we should do it more."
"Haha. Yeah." she answered, twirling her hair around her finger.
"QUESTION 5: What is your desired social status? SUBJECT ANSWER: Popular/Well-liked"
"I always try to hang out with you." Shannon mumbled. "It's just hard when you're always so busy."
"Oh I'm sorry. I'll promise to find more time for you from now on."
"You will?" she beamed.
"Of course." He wouldn't mind spending more time with Shannon. He knew about some girls in his class having crushes on him, but why bother with any of them when this older girl in front of him showed such interest. He imagined how jealous his friends would be if he dated a high school junior.
