In a small little shack a few hundred miles away from Rome, the wizard known as Victor Roshkovich sat in a make shift living area, waiting for the sun to set. He had broken out of prison just over a week ago and needed some time to regain his strength. He thought he had built up enough power to immediately take on Freddy and Michael, but found after charging down the front door of the jail that he hadn’t built up the energy that he truly needed to properly seek his revenge.
Being out of the prison gave the wizard access to herbs and other ingredients to make more powerful spells and potions. This increased his power ten fold, making him ready for the next task at hand; breaking into the national museum in Rome. Once he made his way there. his plan was to steal the Ruggeri rings once more, along with the magic mirror.
Once they were in his possession again, he planned to manipulate their power to conjure up an animal army. With this army, he could claim dominion over Earth and make it impossible for the magic world to apprehend him again and send him back to prison.
“I’m never going to set foot in that horrible facility ever again” the wizard though to himself. “I’d rather die than be imprisoned by such inferior creatures.”
Once the sun had set over the horizon, the wizard determined it was time to act. With his energy at a new high, he levitated up from his chair and out of the shack he temporarily occupied. At lightning speed, the wizard managed to make his way to Rome and stopped short of the national museum. Looking at it from across the street, the wizard determined that it had a stronger vibration of energy than he had previously remembered.
“They must have upped the security ever since I took the Ruggeri items for myself” the wizard thought, as he looked both ways before levitating across the street. “No matter. I am strong enough to take on whatever is waiting for me behind those doors.”
Upon arriving at the locked entrance, the wizard used his magic to unlock the doors and grant himself entry in to the museum. Once inside, the wizard levitated himself down into the basement and into the archives inaccessible to humans. From there, he stood before a vault, which housed the magical Ruggeri items.
“Perfect” the wizard thought, as he approached the vault door. “The items are behind this vault. This operation has been easier than I would have imagined. Almost too easy.”
Just as the wizard finished this thought and successfully opened the vault door, he could feel the ground shake below him. Turning around, the wizard could see an army of armed magical guards charging towards him.
“It’s Victor Roshkovich!” one of the guards yelled. “Go after him! Don’t let him get those items!”
In a hurry, the wizard entered the vault and quickly shut it behind him. Ignoring the loud bangs on the door from the other side of the vault, the wizard approached the mirror and the five rings in the museum’s possession.
“Perfect” the wizard thought to himself, as he stared at the magical items.
The wizard hadn’t seen the five rings together in centuries, close to two hundred years ago. He hadn’t seen three of the rings and the mirror in over twenty years. After waiting so long to be reunited with the Ruggeri items, they were all laid out there, ready for his taking. Just as the wizard placed the dog ring on his finger, the vault door slammed wide open.
“He’s taking the items!” one of the guards yelled. “Don’t let him get away with them!”
The wizard had a split second decision to make. He could try to take all the rings at once and make a break for it. He could try to hold off the guards and take the rings and the mirror. Or, he could take the one ring immediately and dash out before they had the chance to overpower him. Sensing that only one option was logistically possible, the wizard left the other rings and the mirror behind and vowed to return for them at another time.
Acting upon his decision, the wizard barged at the guards and tried to make his way back out of the museum, only to be stopped by the guards piling on top of him.
“Argh” the wizard grunted, as the guards sought to overpower him and place him into custody.
The guards proved formidable, using considerable strength to keep him pinned down. Knowing he had no other choice, the wizard used nearly all of his strength and incinerated the guards into ashes. Watching the black pieces of soot that were once magical beings fall to the ground, the wizard got up, damaged by their attempts to drain his energy, and bolted out of the museum before more guards could arrive.
Making his way back to the shack at reduced speed, the wizard felt tired and drained. He knew he needed to rest to recuperate his strength. Once he entered the shack, the wizard hovered above the floor and fell into a meditative state. In this state, the wizard began to recharge and prepare for his next plan of action.
“Those guards did a real number on me” the wizard thought. “I wasn’t expecting that. No matter. I can always go back for the other rings and the mirror at another time. For now, I have what I need to exact my revenge on Freddy and Michael. Once I’ve eliminated them permanently, I will go into hiding and recharge my strength. From there, I will return to the museum more powerful than ever before and take back the rest of the rings and the magic mirror. With my plan, I will be unstoppable. I will be the new ruler of Earth.”
Back in Freddy and Michael’s town….
