The second to last girl was a plain but pretty looking girl who seemed to be among the youngest in the class, if not the youngest. Her hair was auburn and messy, reaching down to her shoulders in a wildly frizzy manner, but aside from this she seemed to be a relatively well-kempt person. Her small ears were burning noticeably as she made her up to James, with a shy but controlled smile on her lips.
She spoke with Elspeth, at first about what her transformation was going to be (James was currently tuned out thanks to the insanely wild experience that Alexandra had provided him with), but regained his attention when he noticed that the girl had been speaking with Elspeth for much longer than any of the others. Not only that, but it wasn’t even about magic at this point. And it seemed she was doing so as if to delay going over to him, which he wasn’t sure how to feel about.
“Sooo..... are you okay?”, the girl asked. Elspeth looked at her, puzzled. “I’m quite well, yes, Daisy.” The girl, apparently named Daisy, still stood in front of her. Shuffling her feet in place. “..... are you doing anything after the lesson, ma’am?”
Abigail coughed very clearly deliberately, muttering “teacher’s pet” as she did so, garnering a laugh from only Morgan. Everyone else looked at her, annoyed, James and Elspeth, and even Jenna, included, while Daisy purses her lips and looked like she was fighting not to cry.
“Let’s please talk when class is over, Miss DeMarco” Elspeth said to Morgan sternly from across the room, as she then turned to Daisy to say something, but the girl had already turned around and was heading back to her seat.
James, feeling terribly for her, spoke up in what he thought may have been the first time in front of all the girls. “Er, hey! No, please don’t leave! I.... I want you to have your turn! Please? I’m sure you’ll do great!”
