Alex tasted something sweet in his mouth. Cherry, maybe? That seemed like a good sign.
He gasped softly when he saw himself in the mirror. The girl in the mirror, she was...cute. Maybe too cute. Her wide brown eyes had exaggerated eyelashes, and the pink blush on her cheeks was...something else. So much make-up. She was clearly dressed up for...something. All Alex had to do was look down into his newfound cleavage to suss that out. The outfit that clung to her body was a skimpy pink and white dress that reminded him of a character he'd seen in an anime. The whole look actually screamed 'lazily-done cosplay'. The bright blue wig on his head only furthered that impression.
"Woah. Is this, like, cosplay?"
When he spoke, his voice was high and breathy. Clearly an affectation, something else to add to the cutesy persona he was putting on. But why? For the audience, of course! The people following her on Instagram and Snapchat wanted to see Trixie Valentine, professional cutie. Not Alex Madison, boring college student. If she had to play pretend for a little bit to earn some extra money, she would.
Alex shook his head furiously, trying to get the invasive thoughts out of his head. All he managed was getting his newfound breasts to jiggle in the tight bra he was now wearing. As different as the new version of himself was from the business student he'd been a few minutes ago, there was something kind of alluring about having an audience. Hadn't he just been lamenting the fact that nobody knew who he was? Now everybody did!
Was that really so bad?
Maybe not, but this... 'Trixie' was someone he would have found obnoxious just a few minutes ago. Now, he was her. Someone who actually took pride in showing her skin for money. Actually shameless.
But people with low self-esteem were often jealous of those who had it. It wasn't her fault she was so beautiful.
Except that it kinda was. How much did this Alex spend on make-up? Probably a fortune, considering all the boxes of it stacked on the vanity table to his left. Mascara, blush, eyeliner, foundation, she had it all in spades. The walk-in closet attached to his new room was filled with outfits-- both clothes and costumes like these, costumes that she would probably end up selling the moment the stream ended.
Ah! Today was the live-stream. She'd do a couple of dances before playing a popular game with her viewers. One of them, anyway. They were all the same to her-- they all pretty much made her the same amount of money.
Woah, that was weird. She was thinking of herself as a she, and not a he. That hadn't happened the last time. Maybe being a woman was such a fundamental part of this Alex's identity that it was affecting him. The real him. Which was weird to think about, because this room, this person felt as real as anything else in his life, if not more.
"I can leave this life at any time, right?" Alex asked the mirror.
"Yes, you can."
"Okay, good."
Alex had a lot to think about. She wanted to explore this life a little bit more before moving on, but something about being this person was intoxicating. She wasn't sure she'd want to go back if she didn't leave now. On the other hand, the stream was waiting for 'Trixie' to start it up...and she was really looking forward to showing off her new outfit.
