You stare at your screen for a moment, curious as to why the story hasnt started. You're wondering now, did I click on the wrong link or something?
Just as your about to click the next link a brilliant light flashes before your eyes. Dazed you blink only to gasp as you see Merlin standing before you.
"Sorry for the interruption," he says, pushing his glasses up his nose. "But I needed to talk with anonymous for a moment. You know the one that wrote the last chapter, darkness laughs."
Merlin gives you a serene smile as he now stares out into the world, your world.
"O has been paying attention to some of your writings. He likes your style, he also gets a bit annoyed when you try to make characters he's been working on for over a year look like jackasses. His words not mine by the way."
The ancient wizard now conjures an easy chair and a cup of tea. Taking a sip he now begins to talk once more.
"O has a pretty good feeling you were the anonymous that was contributing during the Lilith and Circe arc. The way you downplay Lilith and buff the kitsune is a bit of a giveaway, at least in O's opinion."
"You see O has been trying very hard since then to be respectful of the kitsunes power. He gets it. They're all powerful magical creatures. They could easily defeat anyone put in their way. Why do you think Isao was kicking so much ass before Tatsu stepped in? At the same time you have to understand, this isnt a story about the kitsune. The wizards, they're the main characters."
Merlin sighed once more, rubbing his eyes as he gazes out at you.
"You realize the wizards are supposed to reach the the top right," he says. "Its classic story telling. Hero meets challenge, hero overcomes challenge. The thing is though, O is pretty attached to some of these characters, take the Harris family for instance."
Your still not sure exactly what to say as the ancient wizard now begins to pace. "O has been looking for a moment for Cole to shine," he says. "He spent alot of time and effort writing down ideas. He also had a feeling anonymous wouldnt want a soldier to be able to handily defeat a kitsune, even a five tail. That's why Cole was essentially stalling until help arrived. Yes he's skilled but let's be honest, Akira would have won in a straight forward fight. At least that what O was trying to convey. Why do you think Cole was trying to taunt Akira? It was his only chance."
The ancient wizard now furrows his brow as he seems to almost stare at your soul. "You see O figures it was you that was involved in the Lilith/Circe arc because after he wrote about Yuriko you decide to write the darkness laughs. O was tempted to respond with a profanity laced chapter, I kind of talked him out of it."
"Anyway he enjoys what you write but can you do him a favor? Try not to make his characters look stupid. He has an idea where he wants to go with this and he loves reading what others write. When you cut the nuts off his characters though, or try to get him on a technicality like Thanatos it only stalls the creative process. Heres the deal, he'll try not to make the kitsune look weak if you treat his characters respectfully. Anyway this has been a long enough rant and I is rather busy today. Let's try to work together to make this work.
