Todd began exploring the zoo, wondering which animal to test the remote out on first and there were so many options to choose from.
He continued exploring until he came to the lion exhibit where a zookeeper was telling the guests about these large cats. ".....unfortunately there aren't that many lions left in the world," she explained. "Due to poaching and blood sports there are estimately only 20,000 of these magnificent animals left in the world and are already extinct in 26 countries in Africa." Todd was sad at this news, ever since he had seen the Lion King as a kid he had loved them.
"This particular pride was not actually born in the wild, each of its members were rescued from the circus or caged hunting, Nadra over there was rescued from a cage on the streets of Egypt...." The woman pointed to a large tan coloured lioness glaring around at the visitor as if they were her enemies. "She was rescued and brought here to be nursed back to health, now she has fully recovered and is living life to its fullest!"
Judging by the look she was giving them, Nadra didn't look all that happy about it.
The guests left the lion enclosure but Todd stayed behind to look at lions, feeling great sadness for them, especially Nadra.
