"Mika why dont your friends check the place out while we visit mom and pop," Kiko said. Mika nodded, wishing her friends good luck. As Kellie was about to leave, she felt Kiko's paw on her shoulder.
"Not so fast Ms. Pendragon," she said cheerfully. "Pretty sure my folks want to see you too." Kellie could only nod as she now trailed behind the fuchia colored kitsune. "So what's up Kiko?"
"Well," she stated. "You seem to have a pretty good handle on Lilith and her demons. Anything I should know before she shows up?"
Kellie shrugged, Lilith had changed quite a bit since her experience with the hourglass. "Well shes evil," she said. "But lately it seems like...shes trying to turn over a new leaf. She's, reasonable now...somehow all the old nonsense about light and darkness has faded. It seems like she just wants to be left alone."
"Do you think she can be trusted," Kiko asked.
"I suppose," Kellie said. "She was the one to actually propose the alliance. I doubt shes actually going to try and attack. Not with everything weve seen so far."
Kiko could only nod, sighing deeply as she gazed at the numerous kitsune going about their daily business. "Ugh this is so stressful, having to make decisions like this that literally hold the fate of everyone here. Every bodies relying on me."
Kellie said nothing as the six tailed continued walking, a small smile spreading across her face as she noticed a group of children playing. "Geez I miss being a one or two tail," she sighed. "Being young, not a care in the world. You have your whole life ahead of you."
Kiko quickly spun around, placing her hands on her hips as she gave Kellie a coy smile. "Don't you get any ideas their Ms. Pendragon," she chuckled. "I know all about you penchant for age magic. Wanting to be a kid and actually becoming one are two different things so you can just forget it...at least for now."
"Consider it forgotten," Kellie said, slightly confused.
"Kiko was a bit of a dork as a kid," Mika chuckled.
"Laugh it up their fuzz butt," Kiko smiled, sticking her tongue out at her younger jade colored sister. "I was an individual not my fault no one was as cool as me."
Kellie could only smile as she watched the sisters playfully banter. In a way, Kiko reminded Kellie of her sister Lisa. The kitsune was definitely different. Bubbly, cheerful, and very personable. Kellie had to admit she already like her.
As they approached the hospital, Kellie was once again surprised by its appearance. The hospital was quite modern in appearance along with being beautifully made. Kellie could feel the magic emanating from the place as she noticed several kitsune enter and exit the hospitals front lobby.
As the trio now entered Kellie could see several kitsune bow respectfully as Kiko passed. Kiko for her part responded in kind although Kellie could see she was exactly comfortable with doing so. Entering the elevator she let out a deep breath as she rubbed her eyes.
"Ugh I hate all this tradition stuff," she groaned. "I've never been good with all the traditional and culture stuff let alone people feeling they need to bow before me like I'm a freaking goddess."
"You could ask them not too," Mika offered.
"Yeah that would go over great with pops," Kikobreplied rolling her eyes. "You know how dad is with the whole culture and tradition thing. I'd have better luck fighting the armies of hell by myself."
"Well I think you're doing great Kiko," Mika smiled. Kiko turned, a small grin spreading across her face as she ruffled her kid sisters fur.
As they exited the elevator Kiko approached the front desk, a four tailed kitsune nurse bowing before signing the three of them in. As they began to walk down the hallway, Kellie couldnt help gasping as she noticed one particular kitsune laying in one of the rooms. "Is that Aiyo?!"
"Yeah that's her," Kiko said sadly. "After the others reached the peak before that time limit expired the reaper returned her soul. Still, when she came back I had her admitted here. I'm having the best psychologist take care of her now."
"Did any others come back," Kellie asked.
"Surprisingly yes," Kiko said. "Shinji and Akira both returned along with a couple of others. It's going to take sometime but hopefully they can regain the trust of the clan."
"Did anyone not return," Kellie asked.
"Aside from my brother their was Isao," she said sadly. "I doubt I'll ever see them alive again. Our mages already cast the protective spells to keep them from entering, still hurts though that my older brother did this."
Kellie could only nod, offering a meek apology to the six tailed kitsune. "Well," Kiko stated, composing herself for a moment. "No time like the present, let's go see the folks."
