James thought for a moment and then smiled as he waved his hands once again as the pig squealed once again as her body began to radically change. At first the pigs skin changed to a rich emerald green color and then her body began to grow larger and larger, until James raised is arms once again and slammed then down in one forceful move and in a blinding crash and explosion of light the ground thundered and when it cleared, lying on the floor taking up most of the room was a very large and sinister green dragon.
The dragon opened its eyes and then stretched its long neck, crashing through furniture and straining the foundation of the house. Its fiery red eyes then looked down on the two small human figures dwarfed below her.
“Once again you have impressed me, James. A mythological creature! That takes real skill to conjure. In fact, I am not sure any of my current students, including Melanie, could conjure such a creature.”
The dragon then began to make very loud and angry guttural sounds as if it was considering which of the two humans to either eat or torch. Elspeth’s face began to get a concerned look.
“James, you did remember to include and awareness component to this spell, correct?”
James gulped as he suddenly realized that he hadn’t. “Uh, I think I forgot that part.”
“Then I would advise you to remain very still James. If that is the case, then Melanie’s mind would have been erased into the primitive mind of this creature. She can and will kill us both if we are not careful.
James was sure that Melanie must be in there somewhere as he carefully reached out and put his hand on the lower part of the dragon’s stomach in a comforting motion.
“James, NO!”
“It’s ok, Mel, I am here and will make this right. You hear me baby?”
The dragon quickly swiveled her head around to James as it slowly lowered its head and looked James squarely on. But it wasn’t Melanie viewing him, but that of a vengeful and angry monster. As she then reared her head back, drawing in a great of of air as her chest buldged up.
Elspeth quickly got in front of James and waved her arms quickly as the dragon released a blinding torrent of fire from its mouth as an invisible shield of magic repulsed it as the fire went around the both of them and consumed the contents of the room leaving only James and Elspeth untouched.
Once the dragon’s breath had expended itself, Elspeth kept her arms up keeping the spell alive.
“Quickly James, transform her into something else NOW while she is inhaling fresh oxygen. I am not sure I can protect us a second time! And remember the awareness component. I can’t do it while I have this spell going”
“What should I turn her into?”
It doesn’t matter James, she is about to spew fire on us, do it NOW!”
As the large dragon was about to release a second torrent of fire and flame that was sure to kill the both of them, James waved his hands quickly and the room was awash in light once again, when the light had dissipated, both James and Elspeth viewed what he had turned Melanie into. It was a…..
