Jake looked back at his body, the only thing that seemed wrong was his tail. It was only three feet long, it barely touched the floor. Jake clicked on his tail in the 3D model and scrolled down the options. He could change everything about his tail, the length, the girth, the... falloff. Jake didn't exactly know what half of the options were, some were sliders, others were on/off buttons.
Jake continued to look over all of his options until his hovered over a setting called, growth over time. Like its title suggested, if selected and executed his tail would grow over time, he could stop it when he felt like it. Selecting that option prompted him with a few more little options.

Jake didn't mess with anything just in case he messed something up. He clicked change and he immediately felt his tail start to inch bigger. It was barely noticeable but he could feel it. He knew that it was going to take a while before he was satisfied with his tail length.
Jake got up and went to the kitchen to get something to eat. Not wanting to dig through the pantry forever he just popped a piece of toast into the toaster. Jake could feel his tail slowly stretch its way across the floor. His toast popped up and he spread some peanut butter on it before eating it.
After eating his toast, Jake booted up James' Xbox and logged onto his own account. He sat down on a beanbag so his tail wouldn't get crushed by the normal seat he used. Nobody on his friends list was on so he just started playing a random game that was downloaded onto the Xbox. It took him a bit to get used to playing with claws, and a missing digit, but he got the hang of it. Jake forgot that he had his tail growing and he lost himself in the game, grinding for some rare loot that would never drop. Jake was finally snapped out of his grind when he felt his tail push up against something, it was the wall.
Jake panicked and tried to spring up only to trip over his massive tail. He got up slowly and managed to get to his computer and stop the growth. He also checked how big his tail had gotten. 18 feet, his tail grew to 18 feet, how was he supposed to deal with this, the tip of his tail was at the other end of the room. Jake contemplated his options.
