"Hmm, I shall test the pink later myself" Meredith smirked as James writhed on the floor in some considerable discomfort "I believe it is supposed to provide a temporary state of extreme bliss. It's probably more helpful that you chose the brown one. I have no idea what that does"
James was beginning to find out to his horror as he felt his body start to change size and shape simultaneously, his torso and legs seeming to stretch and lengthen in proportion to the rest of him which was quickly getting smaller, and smaller, and smaller..
Meredith and the statue of Nicola were increasingly becoming giants to him as he felt himself helplessly falling down past their chests, their wastes, their knees, ankles, feet..
Before long they were too large and seemed too distant for him to even register. All that he was aware of was the floor he had sunk down into, and the bugs, dust and dirt around him which he hadn't even noticed before but which had greatly increased in visibility in proportion to him. Just how small had he become? And what exactly was he?
James hated to think it, but realised he was probably some kind of bug or insect. His body felt changed beyond recognition, and it felt like he had been forced into a strangely comfortable postion where he was lying on his stomach, propped up by his noticeably long and powerful legs and ..were they still arms he was resting on? He was also getting freaked out by the pair of antennae he could feel sticking out of his head. He felt at once monstrous and shockingly tiny and vulnerable. Why didn't he just take the pink potion?
"Hmm, a grasshopper transformation potion, interesting" Meredith noted to herself, way up above James "I wouldn't have guessed"
She dutifully fetched a container from the back of her store, sprinkled it with some dirt and leaves and gently placed James into it.
"Sorry dear, it's not the most glamorous accomodation" she told James, who wasn't really able to hear her anyway "but I don't want to lose you while you are like this. We have so many more potions to test."
