"Well before we go and meet Lilith would you like a tour," Kiko asked. Kellie shrugged, maybe some sightseeing would help relax her and put her at ease. "Sounds like fun lead the way."
Kellie now found herself traveling with Kiko and Mika, the sisters showing Kellie the various sights around town. Kellie marveled at the various sights; a park beautifully decorated with good fortune statues and cherry blossoms, restaurants serving various dishes from different dimensions, even a museum holding historical kitsune artifacts (non magical artifacts to be precise). "So where are we going," Kellie asked.
"The forge," Kiko stated. "I told my brother I would stop by later, besides want to see how Shinji is doing."
"Chisai is watching Shinji," Mika said. Kiko nodded as they continued walking. "He volunteered," she said. "And besides Shinji helping out at the forge seemed like the best way to have him make amends." As the trio approached Kellie studied the forge.
The forge, like many of the other structures, was a mixture of modern and feudal design. Kellie could see blast furnaces and blacksmiths forging swords and armor while conveyor belts moved crates into other parts of the massive building. Kellie could even see several kitsune testing some of the weapons and products they forged in an area off to the side. As they approached the entrance they could see the dark furred two tail Shinji, along with a massive grey furred six tail kitsune.
"Hey Chisai," Kiko waved. The six tail smiled, lumbering over to his sister before squeezing her tightly. "Kiko, Mika good to see you," he said loudly.
"Kellie this is my brother Chisai," Mika said happily. Kellie craned her neck upwards as she gazed at the massive kitsune. Chisai appeared close to seven feet tall with a barrel chest and massive amounts of muscle. The kitsunes grey fur was rather dirty, covered in soot and grime from his world as a blacksmith. Wiping his brow the kitsune extended a massive hand towards Kellie. "So your the wizard little Mika talks about," he exclaimed.
"Um yea," Kellie stammered. "Pleasure to meet you." Chisai's massive hand clapped down on Kellies shoulder in a gesture meant to be friendly. Unfortunately Kellie wasnt prepared for the kitsunes impressive strength as she staggered under the blow. "Sorry," Chisai blushed as Kellie brushed herself off. "Guess I dont know my own strength."
Mika and Kiko chuckled as their massive brother helped dust Kellie off. "So how are things with Shinji," Kiko asked as she pointed towards the sullen two tails.
"Well he maybe skinny but the kid certainly puts in the work," Chisai stated clapping the two tails on the back. "If he keeps this up he might make up for being a dope."
Shinji tried to force a smile as Kiko and Chisai began to talk. Mika and Kellie now took this moment to pull the teenage kitsune to the side. "How have you been cousin," Mika asked.
"I'm okay," he sighed. "I mean things havent been easy and alot of the kitsune here arent exactly thrilled to see me, but Chisai looks out for me. He says I'm a natural blacksmith."
"I'm happy to hear that," Mika said hugging her cousin tightly.
"So Kiko," Chisai asked. "Know you're busy but theirs someone here to see you. Think it's pretty important."
"Who," Kiko asked, raising an eyebrow. Chisai now gestured towards the forge as someone now began to emerge. "You gotta be fucking kidding," Kiko groaned.
"What up babe," the heavy set tanuki exclaimed as he smiled at the group.
"Kenta what are you doing here," Kiko sighed as the tanuki approached.
"Cmon Kiko," Kenta smirked. "Everyone knows about your meeting with Lilith. The 'rents' sent me here to work out our own alliance with your clan." Kiko groaned in frustration as she rubbed her eyes. "Just my luck."
"Um Mika," Kellie whispered as she watched the kitsune and tanuki talk. "Who is that?"
"That's Kenta," Mika said quietly. "He's a tanuki, they're kind of the comedians of the magical world. Kenta actually has traveled to Earth before. If you've ever seen a fat comedian perform physical comedy, that's Kenta."
"Okay," Kellie said slowly.
"Also him and Kiko used to date."
Kellie sighed, it looked like things were about to get complicated.
