Easter Indoors

added by Alphagor 4 years ago O

Much like St. Patrick's Day, Animalia was quieter than usual on Easter. With the corona virus still running rampant, social gatherings were still being suspended until further notice. But life was slowly starting to return to normal. While the epidemic was still going strong, it seemed to be leveling off instead of escalating, at least in some areas. And as usual, people were trying to find ways to celebrate without risking exposure to themselves.

For instance, Easter usually featured a big Eater Egg hunt for the kids. And since they were still stuck inside, they had to contend with a more limited range for them to hunt. But still, this allowed for some creativity in hiding Easter Eggs around the house. Kids would need to search high and low through their houses to find all the eggs. And with some Animalian kids, they tended to be more rambunctious. For instance, Bell and Bash were dashing through their house a lot faster than human kids their age. Their sharp little noses allowed them to pick up the scent of the eggs containing Animalian-safe candies. Julia was just glad she had the foresight of making sure the fragile items were not anywhere they could get knocked over.

Inspired by the GGAC making deliveries to people who were too worried about the epidemic to go out shopping, Jessica and Roger were making their own rounds. Dressed up like Easter Bunnies again (though Jessica thought her outfit was a bit tighter across the chest), the two of them were making deliveries at houses. A lot of it was baskets of candies for kids, but they also had a few things for their parents, like Easter hams. Roger questioned what hams had to do with Easter, but Jessica couldn't really give him an answer other than it was tradition. Anyways, the hams would certainly be used to provide lunch and dinner for the rest of the week.

Still, while Animalians were trying to work around the epidemic, it didn't seem like things would be calming down anytime soon. The most optimistic view was that places may not be reopening until June. It could that this may last the whole summer. In any case, Animalia's government was trying to look for ways to make certain events doable even with the quarantine going on. For instance, they were working on the best way for WSA to have their prom and their graduation ceremony. Time will tell how tight the quarantine may get for Animalia.
