"If I stay longer in this water I will grow fins." said Mike trying to boost himself to get out.
The 40 minutes of relaxing in the water was... relaxing.
The 12 minutes of trying to get out of the tub... not so much.
Useing a towel was not easy either, thanks to his one armed state. After that he realized the clothes would need a long time to dry... and he washed ALL his clothes.
"And the towel is not long enought to get around my waist... great." exclaimed Mike with a "not amused" face.
He just stood in front of the small, broken mirror and watching himself for minutes.
*click*
The washing machine finished. After quickly putting the clothes out to dry, he went towards the bed.
"Looks like I am going to freeball tonight."
He laid down, but decided not to use blanket, he feeled hot even without it (again thanks to his extra layer and pelt).
The evening was uneventful and was able to drift to sleep in no time.
The morning was however a different story.
Wake up - check.
Morning wood - check.
Realizing the situation - check.
Trying to get off (and succeed) - check
His gut is givin out some ungodly sound and the feeling was even worse. He was ravenous.
"Oh... ohhhhh... this will not be satet with that one can of fruit." excleaimed while rubbing the side of his enormus hairy belly.
Get dressed - check.
The sun was shining in very hard suggesting that it was not morning and overslept.
He didn't want to cause any problem to the owner after being so generous so packed his stuffs and went to the office.
The boss was sitting behind the desk with the same tired face as yesterday.
"Good morning." said Mike.
"Did you sleep well?" asked the owner.
"Yes it was wonderful. I am so grateful for letting me stay." said Mike with a heartwarming smile.
"It just felt right." said the woman while getting out of her chair. "Before you leave i have 2 things to tell you."
"First of all, I could use some help around here. If you want to work for me and help with maintenance. In exchange I provide you with a room. And no I do not offer this because of my grandfather."
Mike wanted to say no because he wanted to go on with his plan as soon as possible, but an idea stuck in his mind. What if the search take days or weeks, it would be much comfortable to do it with a roof above his head.
"I take the job... Miss...??"
"Call me Kate."
"Okay, Kate." said Mike with a big smile.
"And the second thing Mr. Fergusson."
"Bill..." Mike tried to say his real name but he was not able. He knew it and wanted to say it but his "new" name came out of his mouth. "...is okay."
"The second thing is in the morning I went to change the sheets at the room next to you... if you go full natural next time pull the curtain."
Mike's smiley was disappeared in an instant and his face became red as brick.
"I-I-I am so sorry I didn't..."
"Don't have to apologise..." cut in Kate "...just do not show yourself nude around me."
*groooooowwwwwlll*
The awkward conversation stopped with a loud sound coming from Mike's gut.
"There is a buffet near. Main road turn left at the second street. I will show your job after you grabbed something." with that said she sat back to her desk.
"I will be quick and thanks." said Mike still looking like a beet.
As he walked to the road he picked up his glasses. The right glass was broked thanks to his accident, but he needed to see what is the name of the place he is going. For his surprise there was an entire little town after the motel.
"Come on, how did I not notice this yesterday!" exclaimed while walking towards his destination: the buffet.
