Jake had finally approached Leon after a series of events. Leon was still lying down on the floor trying to recover from the experience. "Hey... Leon... Are you all-" All the sudden, Leon sprang up to all four hooves, smiling as his glistening fur shined throughout the room. "It finally happened! That felt amazing!" Jake was dumbfounded. What did he mean by 'It finally happened'? Did the Chronivac alter his memory or something? "Huh... Looks like I'm still missing a couple features." Leon's horse torso started growing out two separate bumps that shot out into beautiful wings with feathers that glowed just like his fur.
Jake's humongous jaw dropped in the shock that Leon also had wings. Leon took notice of his roommates shock and decided to explain. "Oh, right. I didn't explain this to you did I... That might have been nice to know right? Okay, here it goes. Your not the only one with special genes Jake." Special genes? Was that how the Chronivac handled reality alteration? "Yeah. I have some to. Only unlike you, your genetic mutation came in at birth. Mine is only active at a certain point in life. Nobody knew when that was, but I guess today we found that out." Jake wasn't expecting himself to ask these questions since he knew how it really happened, but he was a bit curious to how this alteration came to be. "So were your parents unicorn taurs too?" Leon laughed at the thought. "I wish. That would make life much more interesting. No, but my ancestors apparently decended from a unicorn who had disguised itself as a human. And after a long period of time, this special gene breeds into specific people when born. And I just happen to be that one."
Jake was still a bit weirded out by how Leon explained everything, but he figured the Chronivac could make the most compeling, if not intresting, stories to come out of the changes it could cause. "Well I'm happy for you. Uh, you don't think your dates gonna be surprised when the come right?" Leon scratched the back of his equine ear. "Yeah... I mean, I told her about this already, but I didn't even know it was coming. It'll be a nice surprise." Jake walked over to pick up his laptop so he could leave Leon and his date some privacy. "Well tell me how she takes it. I'm gonna give you some private time before she shows." Jake opened the door to the hallway. "Will do. See ya in a few bud." Leon said as Jake closed the door avoiding hitting his tail on the way out.
While it wasn't exactly how he'd expected it to go, Jake was happy that Leon didn't mind the change. Jake kinda felt jealous about the wings, but an easy fix if he wanted a pair of his own. Jake made his way to the cafeteria and picked out his dinner."God this thing is cool. I can just mess with people and they just accept it. So, what else can I do?
