Jamie didn’t know how long she sat on her bed just looking at the mirror which had shown her a mermaid instead of herself. The mirror looked normal enough even though she had no idea where it had come from.
“Jamie are you alright?” came a voice from her bedroom door as Jamie looked to see her best friend and roommate, Stacy. Stacy and Jamie had been friends since the 3rd grade and she could read her face like an open book.
“I…don’t know.” admitted Jamie her throat a little dry as Stacy sat down beside her on the bed.
“Care to share?” inquired Stacy as Jaime looked at her and shock her head.
“I think I am just tired.” Said Jamie and then she saw it, out of her corner of her eye, the mirror shimmered again as the same buxom mermaid, with long flowing hair and iridescent scales reappeared in the mirror. She was sitting on the bed, her tail bent in the same way that Jamie had her own legs bent. However she wasn’t alone this time.
Sitting on the bed beside the mermaid, was now a second mermaid, this one also had perfect skin, the second mermaid wasn’t a buxom but had a good chest for her smaller frame wore a simple shell top, and the long hair was instead a beautiful pixie cut which was the same color as the bulk of her tail.
“Jaime is something wrong?” inquired Stacy again as she reached out and touched her arm, in the mirror the second mermaid did the same.
“Stacy….can you see that mirror too?” inquired Jaime as Stacy turned her head and looked at the mirror. The reaction was visible on the second mermaid’s face, as her eyes widened, and a look of confusion covered her face.
