"Jamie?"
Jamie was frozen stiff looking at a small table lamp.
"What are you doing?" Annette asked, but she soon saw for herself. The ground felt like it was moving, shifting and separating. It had a faint rumble, like the ground was alive. And soon, it was. The carpeting was being sucked into the floor, through the wooden planks that were soon changing as well. The planks started to look like forest logs, all with a huge change in texture. The roots started to go over the logs to create a stable floor to stand on. From there the ground was being covered in foliage, all as green as the best cared for forests.
"What the hyuck is goin' on?"
In sheer embarrassment, she just stopped talking, although a part of her wanted to giggle.
Jamie just watched as her lamps were starting to droop down more, her shades becoming more organic and more rounded. The base was joining in on the organic look, and soon, the power cord was now simply a vine, not connected to what used to be the lamp. It was glowing like a light, but there was no sense of heat from what was the lamp. It was like what the mirror had shown. A mushroom. A glowing mushroom.
"The room's changing, like the mirror shown us. Soon the whole room will change. Oh god, what does this mean for the apartment? There are people above me, will they be affected by this?"
Jamie begins to panic.
