Aaron left the break room to some wobbleness, something about these shoes made them hard to walk in, and the fact it got harder to see didn’t help matters.
As he walks down the holes, the heels clicking against the floor, he finds the wobbliness slowly subsidies as he begins to move with greater ease, he turns a corner as he posture straightened and by the time he’d reach the lobby he’d almost mastered it.
“Alright, I just need to get some new coffees and head back it” He says to himself, briefly he chcecks to make sure he isn’t missing anything, before coming to a realisation “Wait... wait... where’s my idea.” He searches himself, not noticing the skirt didn’t have any pockets.
“Dammit.. I left them in my other pants...” He a sigh he walks over to the counter, there was nothing he could do.
“I’m excuse.. me I... seem to have... misplaced my identification. You can look me up in the system, I’m Aar-“ but before he can finish the front receptionist cuts him off “You really should be more careful, but you look new so I’ll give you a break this time. Go print out a new card over at the computer, I’ll run it through to make sure it checks out,”
Aaron wanted to correct that he’d been working in this deadend career for over a decade and she probably should recognise him after all this, but he didn’t want to push it. If this woman wanted to give me a break he wasn’t going to object.
“Thank you.” He says quickly as he went out back to the computer. He rubbed his glasss again, why were they so blurry lately. Something told him he should take them off but h dismissed that idea, his eyesight would just be worse.
Due to the blurry image he clicks the wrong template for I.D, instead of a manger card he selected a Intern card.
The design looked somewhat different, he did recall something that designs were being update so he attributed it to that.
First he had to type a name. He’d meant to write Aaron Sulivan but instead he wrote ‘Alya Salazar’, a sudden feeling of light headness due to staring through the blurry glasses for so long made it harder to notice the mistake. After filling in a few more miniors the word “smile!” Comes from behind.
He spins his head fast enough to face the receptionist holding a camera, the speed of turning causing his glasses to fall off. Monetarily blinded by the flash he puts the glasses back on before it wears off.
“Okay, I’ll get this printed out for you a moment”
The brown colour had spread throughout his faces by that point, which had itself become smaller and smoother as hair had sprouted out to cover its top. The picture reflected something more akin to a young woman than a middle aged man.
The I.D is soon printed out and is handed to Aaron, who’s takes it quickly, a hand bag is then also passed over.
“The lost and found sent this through, said they forgot to give it to you eariler” the receptionist explains.
“Uh... thanks..” confused, Aaron places the I.D in the bag and swings it around his shoulder.
“Have a nice day Alya” the receptionist says to him as he walks off, causing him to briefly pause in confusion before deciding he misheard. Seeing the clock he knew he needed to get a move on.
