The world around Ty faded into nonexistence, as if he fell unconscious. He remained in that state for an indeterminable amount of time, unable to perceive anything around him, devoid of dreams or self-awareness.
Then, all of the sudden, his trance ended. The world around him blasted into light, surrounding him with new sensation. After a few seconds of adjusting to such fierce stimuli, Ty began to take his surroundings into account. He and his friends stood on a dirt path, a few hundred yards away from a small village. They were surrounded completely by rolling hills, unprocessed land, and abundant forests.
It was then he noticed his friends. They still had some similarities to the friends he knew; same general hair colors, loose familiarity of features. They had, however, been transformed completely into their chosen characters. Eric- or, rather, Erica- had become a gorgeous rogue in tight-fitting leather, with knives strapped to her arms and legs and a bow over her back. Aaron was now a complete Adonis, toned and powerful and dressed lightly in basic tribal wear. On his back was a monstrous axe, sharpened and gleaming in the sunlight. Finally, Steph had become a she-orc, even taller and more muscular than Aaron, and covered in a suit of chainmail armor with a blade at her hip and a shield on her back.
At last, Ty realized it was doubtful he alone remained as he was. He glanced down at himself and furiously spun around, trying to take a view at himself. As expected, he remained human...though maybe with a few minor changes. He felt smaller, maybe about an inch or two shorter, and as if he'd loss some muscle definition. After a few quick exchanged words with his friends, it became clear; he was younger, maybe in his late teens. Just Ty's luck, too. He chose to be a mage, and got an apprentice.
"Enough time screwing around," Steph interrupts everyone's self-investigation. "It looks like it's late afternoon now. We should head into the village before it gets dark and get a place to stay. Then, we can figure things out."
Curious of his abilities, Ty reached one hand out and extended each of his fingers. All of the sudden, muscle memory came rushing back to him, and he remembers about a dozen or so spells. He summoned his power, and a little ball of light appeared forth on his palm to light the way. "Let's go, then."
The four party members came into a town. As soon as they did, Erica got herself distracted. She ran over to a bulletin board and ripped a paper off of the wall, brandishing it to the others. "New brothel in town!" She jumps excitedly, and her breasts bounced in her tight chestpiece. "We should go!"
Steph shook her head, a gesture far more imposing and ominous in her now orc form. "One of us should go speak to the local lord, or mayor of the town. We could get some work, some way to pay for food. I can go, if you all would prefer the whorehouse." She glanced at Ty, waiting for his input.
