"Aren't you concerned at all that Sherri already found us?" asked Wanda, Ryan's friend-with-benefits from the office building where he did custodial work.
"Nah, she'll get over it," Ryan answered. "I'd stay out of her way for a few days if I were you, though. Last time this happened she set the girl's car on fire, then made me pay for it."
"Wow, Sherri sounds like a nutcase... No offense."
"None taken. I guess your shift starts before mine again today?"
"Yep," Wanda confirmed as she buttoned up her security guard uniform. "I'll see you when you go on lunch break, though. After some steamed curry we might have some time for an ... interdepartmental meeting in the broom closet." She winked.
"Mmmm, I'd better not be late then," he said, pulling on his athletic boxers.
"See ya later, Ry."
"Bye, Wanda."
And with that, Ryan was left alone, walking through the house, waiting to head out to work, and already planning to turn on the apologetic-boyfriend act for whenever he saw Sherri again. He figured she'd be at be at her geeky friend's house at least until after he got back from work, but she was always unpredictable when she got like this. Sure, he felt a little bit bad that she was so upset, but how was he ever going to get any other sexual experience if he never tried his art with someone else once in a while? They'd been together since high school, and it's not like they were actually married. She'd eventually calm down, and they could go back to their usual sex life and he could have a few more adventures on the side. No harm no foul, or so Ryan thought.
Little did he know that Sherri and Monica had already selected his new breed and the circumstances of his impending transformation.
