Sammy didn't remember much of the old world, but she did know her current life, and she was content with it. Of course, she didn't know what she'd lost, so to her, this world was how things had always been, baring the few changes that dogs had made over the last few years with the chronivac of course. She didn't know about the ongoing war between the cats and dogs, how almost a million were dead already, that was all beyond her tiny brain to even comprehend.
"Bark! Bark!" She heard behind her, seeing Luke come bounding up to her, panting with a smile on his face.
"Woof!" Mel called back, and the two went in a little circle, sniffing each other's butts in the regular human greeting, just like dogs did before.
However, there was a change, Mel was ready to be bred, humans didn't inherit the heat cycles that dogs had, so human females could, and would, be bred any time of the year. Dogs still were stuck with their heat cycles, however.
Luke watched as Mel lifted her rump in the air, looking back at him with a small smile, and he needed no further promoting, he immediately got to work, hopping up on Mel and breeding her good. Human males didn't have sheaths for their penises, they just swung around as the male ran, and that in turn, made the males very, very eager to mate often. And they did.
As Joe was milking Mel, Jenny looked out the barn window and saw what was happening, "Joe!" She called, "Sammy's getting bred again!" She chuckled as the humans barked and howled though the ten seconds that mating took before Luke was finished.
"Really?" Joe called back, "Well, we need more milkers anyway, can't keep up with demand!" He laughed, patting Mel's belly, having confirmed that she was indeed pregnant.
