Considering how often the floor had been taken out from under here (literally), Evelyn had gotten a little paranoid regarding elevators. As such, she's been taking the stairs far more often. Evelyn knew what that was. Heather had told Evelyn what she had went through with her own punishment. Well, Evelyn had already went through something like this before with her conversion and she was used to holding herself back when she was human. "Ok, how long is this going to last?" asked Evelyn.
"Only an hour," said Lucy, "Let's see how long you can go before getting to the special center." With that, she dropped the jawbreaker into Evelyn's mouth before leaving the room.
Evelyn knew what was going to happen. This jawbreaker may seem to be an ordinary candy, with a very tangy flavor to it. But in the center of it was an extra sweet chewy candy. About 10 minutes in, she had moved the jawbreaker a little too far to the back. Reflexively, her throat swallowed the candy.
Evelyn gulped and said, "Uh oh." She felt the candy go down her throat and drop into her stomach. Well, that wouldn't matter, right? The aphrodisiac wouldn't kick in if she didn't taste it, right?
