Laura stared in astonishment. Somehow, she had arrived at her house! She squirmed, abruptly remembering the reason she had stopped. Laura looked around and spotted a window she had left open by accident. She rushed over and climbed inside, then ran as fast as her little legs could carry her to the bathroom.
Once in the bathroom, she managed to climb on the toilet just before her hold on her bowels failed. Laura sighed with relief, glad to not have sunk far enough to lose complete control while awake. She hopped off the toilet and picked up her clothes, which she had stripped off in a hurry. As she did so, a single die fell out of its pocket and rolled onto the floor. Laura watched in horror.
“Two years you have walked this Earth. Now this number is but one. Each roll of the die shall return more of what has been lost.”
Laura felt herself shrink yet again. Baby fat grew over her body. She lost her balance and fell onto her butt. Despair filled her. She was barely capable as a toddler. Now she was a literal infant. A naked infant, at that.
She couldn’t take care of herself like this. She needed help. But how would she get it?
