"Listen, officer, I wish I could help, but I got no idea where those boys went off to."
"It's 22 missing, only thing in common was they all disappeared with all their clothing in their lockers. So they either ran off naked or somehow left here in that condition."
"Yes, lieutenant, sir, and if I didn't know that the coach's had keys to all the lockers, so we could make that stuff disappear so as not to implicate us we would? I tell ya somebody is trying to set us up. That Ray kid from the swim team he was always pulling practical jokes, maybe this time he went too far."
"Or maybe someone got even. Tell me about some of his pranks, maybe it'll help me find some other commonalities among the victims."
"Sure. Just a minute, it's Munro, by student aide," he turns and shouts toward the open door where a fat kid stands with a clipboard, "Yeah, Munro, finished inventorying the speedos?"
"Yes, sir. 322 pairs, sir."
"322? Can't they teach kids to add these days. The school board only bought us 300, at best the most we can have is 300. How can we have 22 extras? Count them again, Munro!"
"Aw, sir?"
"Do it!"
"Sorry officer, now about those pranks, what did you want to know?"
"Twenty-two lockers of clothing, twenty-two missing students and now 22 extra speedos. Hm?"
"What you think those boys changed into swimsuits? No I mean turned into swimsuits?"
"No. But it could be the abductor wanted to "exchange" something for what he was taking. Let's examine those speedos with Munro," said the detective, "And see which ones aren't school issue."
